Water cannon war between Japan and Taiwan-in picture

It's amazing this is not a front page news for western medias. Is it because this skirmish only involves Japan and Taiwan?

What if China does this instead of Taiwan? Would the bias western medias put out screaming headlines "The Bullying China Is Showing Its True Face!"

This is a form of propaganda, by omission, not many people realized.

In general the western media including Germany have a negative view about China. One can guess about the reasons. The current dispute is not reported on a front page, but appears on page 2 or 3.

No doubt, sinophobic sentiment existed in the western world for more than a century and their medias were, are and will be the front runners to encourage these sentiments. We know very well these sentiments will not go away until the last Chinese man submits to their wimps.

You better be careful with yourself in the Deutschland, to those skinhead sinophobism extends to all yellow men.

When I came here in the 1980´s, there were some heavy sentiments against foreigners including Vietnamese refugees. Yeh even there were some hate attacks against us in the 1990´s (committed by skinheads and followers), supported silently by some German rightwing politicians. That led to public outcries in the country and damaged the good picture of Germany abroad.

In these dark days some Vietnamese even armed themselves and hit back! as usual we do not bow to anyone. The tension was high. The Riot of Rostock-Lichtenhagen (1992) was a famous example of the surrender of German security forces.

Today any racial attack on us leads to a harsh punishment of those committed and automatically involves the German domestic intelligence service (Staatsschutz). A policy of deterrence.

Japan started this whole crisis by making a move to "nationalize" the island, and yet we're aggressive for asserting sovereignty? You must think Nehru was super peaceful guy with his non-aggressive forward policy that got your *** whooped in 1962. If Japan hadn't made any move, Chinese government wouldn't be forced to act. We were quite happy to ignore that rock as long as the Japanese did the same.

PRC is nothing but an expansionist, wannabe empire who couldn't a digest a conflict 5 years after your "1962" that you keep howling about when your commie soldiers ran backwards to that loonie Mao, in just one day's conflict. That's all the time one needs to get you to your real game; running away when it comes to a ready equal conflict. 1967, 69, 74.. all the same.

At least respect your fishermen who make a honest living and don't make them a cannon fodder.

From now on, I believe, the Chinese CMS vessels will constantly patrol within the territorial water of Diaoyu and Chinese fishermen will fish within the islands' EEZ. There will be no more unilateral 'controls and administers' by the Japanese.

TOKYO: Chinese government ships were back in waters around Japanese-controlled islands on Tuesday, the coastguard said, a week after they last left and days after heated exchanges at the UN General Assembly.

The four maritime surveillance ships entered the waters shortly after 12:30pm (0330 GMT), Japan's coastguard said in a statement, adding that it was asking the ships to leave the area.

Two other Chinese official vessels were sailing near the island chain, but not in what Japan claims as its territorial waters, the coastguard also reported in a separate statement.
