The Indians full of themselves, even after raiding Dacca were convinced that PAF will dare not retaliate and had all their Canberra bombers and other aircraft lined up wing tip to wing tip as if for peacetime review. The attacking PAF Sabre's machine guns virtually bisected tail sections of the lined up Canberra bombers from the main body, thus the No 14 Squadron gained the fame of Tail choppers.

We took a large chunk of territory you had illegally annexed in kashmir and in 65 despite you being a much larger nation, you failed in all your objectives ie capturing Lahore, Sialkot and in the end we were occupying chunks of your territory, shame on you for letting a much smaller nation achieve such a feat and your airforce was outclassed and thrashed according to every neutral observe, so stop trying to portray your nations forces as some kind of first world fighting force, they always relied on numbers even then with the exception of Bangladesh they could do jack, their woeful fighting prowess was exposed by our Chinese friends who were able to match their numbers and completely obliterated those loosers lol.Kudos

It was the first air battle between India and Pakistan. The Indian Air Force was numerically superior, with 28 combat squadrons to PAF's 11, but it was saddled with technologically inferior fighters. And, caught off-guard by the PAF offensive, India had lost 35 of its aircraft on the ground during pre-emptive strikes — one on Pathankot on September 6 and then on Kalaikunda, a day later.
IAF's latest history of its operations in the 1965 war acknowledges it "suffered disproportionately higher losses" than PAF.

Die in chulu bhar pani you couldn't defeat a 5 times smaller army than you . The army defended the Pakistan territory very well and repulsed all Indian attacks on the other hand PAF nae tu rape he kardia IAF ka , Navy also did a good job :-)
How is it even possible that a 5 times smaller country is giving you hard time and even raping you at many occasions ? :pakistan::p: , us waqt to nukes bhe naye thae Pakistan kae pass us waqt kia hogaya tha India ko ?

Al least you acknowledge that you started the war but could not sustain it enough to determine victory. We may have suffered material losses and men but we put enough resistance. We did not instigate a war on your eastern flank because we did not want a two front war. Our military was demoralized and disorganized after the 1962 defeat by Chinese and you guys took advantage of the situation.

But we did prove you wrong in 1971 when the situation presented itself in our favour and we took our vengeance. Our intelligence gathering and our command and control between all our three wings of our military improved considerably because of the 1965 war.

So, don't ever measure your victory by how many men and material losses but by how you prevailed the aftermath of that war. India was perceived as the victor due to its success in halting the Pakistan-backed insurgency in Kashmir.

India won the war. It gained 1,840 km2 (710 sq mi) of Pakistani territory: 640 km2 (250 sq mi) in Azad Kashmir, Pakistan's portion of the state; 460 km2(180 sq mi) of the Sailkot sector; 380 km2 (150 sq mi) far to the south of Sindh; and most critical, 360 km2 (140 sq mi) on the Lahore front.

We were Sitting in Dograi Outskirts of Lahore in 21 September when Ceasefire Declared
