On 14 July; 1943 one of the most bloodiest battles in human history was concluded. The Battle of Kursk was a World War II engagement between German and Soviet forces on the Eastern Front near Kursk. The German offensive was code-named Operation Citadel in which more than 10 million soldiers, ten thousand tanks and 5000 aircraft participated.
The battle raged for three months and it ended with defeat of Nazi forces with 200,000 men, 2000 tanks, and 600 aircraft vanished.

Hey ... But I knew Battle of Kursk started on 5th July and ended on August 23rd ......
