A women officer is posted as Pilot or a Navigator or a Technical or a Ground Duty officer. They play all the roles equal to men. I think they they are not a part of "Garud Commandos"

They dont have female fighter pilots... but they have a few female (cheetak) helicopter pilots and thts it... no cargo plane, jet pilots or fixed wing female pilots.

Mostly work as technicians, mechanics, administrative, medical etc but also as navigators and pilots on transports and helos, it is only the fighter corps they have been left out of and the SF- Guruds.

Coz as of last year there was no indian female fighter pilot and nor i could find anything abt it on internet.

Except fighter aircraft and Garud Commandos almost all other sections are open to women, but due to the fact that its mainly fighter pilots that rise up the ranks to become commanders there is a 'glass ceiling' for women in IAF.
