Afghan delegation gets an insight into Gujarat.

Palanpur: From garba to dairy farming to the development model, they are getting a first hand experience of Gujarat. The administration is hosting 16 district governors from Afghanistan these days who are here to study the various facets of the state.

Officials said the visitors have been very impressed with the co-operative movement in dairy sector, structure of panchayats and the general administration. District collector, Patan, J G Higrajiya said, "As a part of their month long study to India, these governors visited different parts of north Gujarat. They tried to understand our administrative system and governance."

They also saw how Patola is weaved. The visitors went around Rani-ka-Vav and other places of historical interest. Their visit to the state during Navratri was marked with their enjoying garba and being treated to traditional Gujarati cuisine in Mehsana and Patan.

Afghanistan has gor a very rich mineral resource....the delegation should head for the right state...btw gujrat is the leading eco state in India....but is it relevant for our objectives........may be the afghan delegation was interested in gujrat...
