What's new

Akinci & Aksungur and Turkish Unmanned Fighter Aircraft Program

Something like that who knows, but certain thing is stealthy drone.

That would certainly be impressive. Even something of 80% of the above stealth attack drone would show us that Turkey is definitely a big player. At the moment the TB2 is impressive without a doubt but USA, Europe, China, Russia are already planning to bring out 5th generation stealth attack drones, speed over 1000km, which carry all sort of missiles, radar would find them very difficult to track. Hopefully TB3 (TB4 in the future) or MIUS would keep Turkey on top.

Pilot training continues at full speed.

#AKINCI TİHA-Attack Unmanned Aerial Vehicle broke the altitude record in Turkish aviation history by reaching the highest altitude reached by a domestic and national aircraft. AKINCI, which rose to an altitude of 38,039 feet (11,594 meters), remained in the air for 25 hours and 46 minutes. Congratulations

There's a reason why Akıncı is the first UAV in the world to fire a cruise missile and nobody did it before. It's because it's a stupid idea. A cruise missile is the same thing as a Kamikaze UAV, the only difference is that it doesn't loiter. So basically you're making a UAV carry another UAV. It's dumb.

Just make a longer range version of Gezgin, it will be much cheaper and carry a much bigger warhead.

Also... Remember when TİHA used to mean Anka?

I'm getting too old for this shit...
