Indian troops gun down four Mujahideen near LoC

OCCUPIED SRINAGAR (August 01 2006): Indian troops have shot dead four Mujahideen during a fierce gunbattle near the de facto border dividing Kashmir between India and Pakistan, the army said on Monday. "The four were killed during a gunbattle that erupted late on Sunday in the (northern) Gurez sector," an army spokesman, Hemant Joneja, told AFP.

He said the four were part of a group that had infiltrated into Indian Kashmir on Wednesday from across the line of control (LoC). "In all a total of eight freedom fighterss have been killed in Gurez since July 26 when the infiltration was detected," he said.

Violence has escalated in Kashmir over the past few months, with even tourists coming under attack in the scenic Himalayan region. Unlike in previous tourist seasons when visitors were left relatively untouched by the violence, 15 tourists have been killed and nearly 70 hurt since May.

Every civilian they killed, thay termed it as crackdown against Mujahideen.

Asim,

Humour is the derivative obtained through the lampooning of the ridiculous!

Now you're catching on, Seinfeld's humor's ridiculing a lot of everyday stuff.

I guess that makes sense then.

"Kashmir is an integral part of India". Hillarious stuff indeed.

You are quite a comedian!

No, it is an integral part of the Moon! ;)

Ah that explains India's claim on Kashmir...

I don't know if you guys in India follow Pakistani comedians, but we've got a fellow by the name of Omer Sharif he once cracked a joke in a Dubai show:

"Q. Why was Neil Armstrong shocked when he arrived on the moon?
A. He was greeted by a man in a lungi, Randay chai parcel illay?"

Randay chai parcel, illay = Would you like two teas parcelled, no?

In Dubai, there's a common thinking of all nationalities "Those Malbaris are everywhere".

Asim,

The example of the Malbaris are worth emulating for the Pakistani diaspora.

A real overwored joke that has been applied to practically all communities of the world.

I glad it raised a laugh in Dubai.

It proves that even poor jokers can make a living in Dubai.

A humourless society up there?

BTW, how are you doing?

Well I can't tell it the same like Omer Sharif did...

Half of Omer Sharif's jokes are copied btw, in India's Laughter Challenge show on Star Plus (u know the one with Siddhu?).

Haven't you seen the forced laughter on the show?

But then some love slapstick and some real poor ones.

Johnny Lever gets a real laugh out of the front stall chaps with obscene stuff.

Each to his own,

Asim,

Since you are a music buff, you must listen to Kabhi Albida Na Kahana. You will like them.

I thank you once again for the Junoon rendition of the Pakistani national anthem that you gave a link to.

I have added it to my library of National Anthems.

I hate the ones doing mimicry...

But I liked this Sardar ji's act.

Wow, just a while ago someone mentioned that movie/song in a text message to me.
