Americans favor Afghan pullout

This is rich, man the US citizens want to get the fu*k out and the ''democratic'' government wants to stay the f*ck in, if the citizens dont want the war then there shouldn't be a war cuz it is the citizens tax money the government is using up....

gambit, sure, you're getting out of there with 240 engines (tails) of aircraft and around 7500 dead bodies. Good Job soldiers.

7,500? Me no county so good. 1.500 in 10 years is how much. at current levels, 2024 may be 3,000. if it weren't for mines(IED's) it would be a few hundred. Those boys can't shoot, and have little stomache to face American troops directly.

To be honest, I don't think any American would want their son/brothers to be serving in that cursed region. Let the Afghans decide for themselves if they want to bomb themselves to 10th century or progress with the rest of the world.

Americans need to pull out for their own good, for the benefit of their economy and citizens.

Americans imperial plans it cannoteave Afghanistan, they have set up for the long term.

Dear readers, of course Americans want our troops to return home safe and sound. At the same time, those same Americans also fully support and appreciate US troops protecting the nation and our allies and partners from terrorism. Some of the comments suggest that the US secretly plans to indefinitely extend our troops presence in the Middle East and Southwest Asia. Are not these ideas wrong-minded? The truth of the matter is that you would be hard pressed to find any Americans who support an indefinite troop presence in Afghanistan, despite your claims that we harbor some secret desire to remain. To those of us involved in supporting their mission, these rumors and conspiracy theories simply do not make sense. The hard work of US and NATO trainers ensures the successful transition to full ANA control of security across Afghanistan by 2014. However, while the drawdown of our troops has begun it is important that we not leave until the ANA is fully capable. Dear readers, is this not a clear indication that the US supports Afghanistan in gaining full independence. As President Obama previously stated, we do not plan on keeping US troops in Afghanistan a day longer than is necessary. Our commitment is to leave Afghanistan with governance that ensures progress and prevents Taliban atrocities.
