Ban Lexus, BMWs, Mercedes Benz, Audi, Ferrari, Lambourghini and Volvo cars from being imported into your country.

I don't know what its like in Pakistan or India, but in China, 40% of all BMWs are owned by corrupt officials. BMW has almost become a synonymn for black money.

simple

1) Reduce poverty and you will see reduction in Corruption
2) raise the literacy rate and you will see it will become difficult to take bribe from others

Poverty yes but literacy rate? Not really. Just look at China they have literacy rate of over 90% but it is still very much corrupt.

Not really mate. Corruption runs in our DNAs. Specially in South Asia. If what you said was true then how do you justify a corrupt peon in government office with no power whatsoever?

For examples what corruptions a peon can do. He can do whatever is in his scope/power and many times senior staffs use peon to get bribe and they all get their share lol

You cannot do corruption without some authority. If he is corrupt and serving in government office without any fear of punishments or prosecution. Whom we should blame?

Zaki that does not explain corruption in top bureaucracy where involved persons are among the best brains in the country,

That wouldn't work as the next available higher model will be the choice for such individuals. You can never stamp out corruption. It all comes down to the individual's upbringing.

1) No. Community thinking reduces corruption. Individual greed leads to corruption. Last I remember, greed does not go when you get rich.
2) Not necessarily true. Accountability will make it difficult.

The only way to stop corruption is to make example of them. Severe penalties. Serious corruption perhaps even death. Corruption is actually killing the poor and people see corruption and feel the hopes and dreams they have are dying with in particular our leaders publically skimming off the top. Its really simple. If we react with severe penalties and have an exclusive law enforcement squads (well paid) sorting these people outg it would send a clear message to all and watch it reduce. It is solid to the core so lets start at the core!

Convicting corrupt government officials would certainly give the impression that something is being done about it. One could create an organization that deals with corruption but it needs to be an independent body that answers only to the people.

Add to that harsh exemplry punishment and we are there and abouts

Set spies in every office.
Then if some one can give information of corruption with evedince then s/he should be awarded.
And the take action to every corrupted employee. Sack the corrupted officers and make them afraid of punishment and replace with good people

Education can not reduce corruption but the morality.
