MINSK, 6 April (BelTA) – Belarus and Pakistan have agreed to expand cooperation in economic affairs. The relevant ideas were discussed during the meeting of Belarusian Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Valentin Rybakov and Tariq Fatemi, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister of Pakistan, the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs told BelTA.

The visit of the Belarusian delegation to Islamabad was supposed to bolster bilateral relations in a large number of areas while focusing on economic and investment cooperation. As a result of the negotiations the sides reached an agreement on expanding cooperation in the sphere of economy, scientific and technical cooperation, justice, culture, and education.

The Belarusian delegation also included representatives of the Council of Ministers Office, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Industry Ministry, the Justice Ministry, the State Science and Technology Committee, the National Agency of Investment and Privatization, the National Library of Belarus, and the companies Minsk Tractor Works, Naftan, and Mogotex.
