Usman, 20, a suspected Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorist, was captured alive following an intense encounter in Jammu and Kashmir's Udhampur district in which at least two BSF jawans were killed and 11 others injured. He had earlier claimed his name was Kasim Khan. Usman was nabbed after militants attacked a BSF convoy on Jammu-Srinagar national highway in Udhampur. He had taken three persons hostage in a school building in a nearby hamlet, from where he was arrested after an operation was launched by the Army and the police. In an interview to India Today TV , the "terrorist" behaved as though he was amused by his situation and appeared mentally unstable. Here are six instances which prove he may be not all right in his head:

1. Does he not know his name? After being captured, he has taken three different names. First he said his name is Kasim Khan, then changed it to Usman and then changed it again to Muhammad Naved. Only Allah knows what his real name is.

2. Body language and dress code: Given his calmness, it appears that either he is too amused to be in the situation or he is mentally unstable, and has revealed no remorse over the attack. More than a terrorist, he seems like a backbencher college student who is appearing for an exam without studying - clueless, showing his chest with one button down and folded sleeves. The quality of Pakistani terrorists is quite poor, it seems.

3. First expression: At the start of the video, a person asks him "Aaj thodi aya hai tu Pakistan se"? (You haven't come today from Pakistan, isn't it?) His facial reaction to this question is priceless. It appears that a mother is asking her son "Beta, padhai kar li kya kal ke test ke liye?" (Son, have you studied for the test tomorrow), to which the son looks irritated. Then he responds that "Barah din ho gaye" (12 days have passed).

4. Total number of terrorists: When the reporter asks him how many people were there? He responds "Do hi the" (Only two were there) with a stylish nod. Then suddenly, he turns back to someone and clarifies "Nahi, do hi the" (No, only two were there). As though was asking him how many ears do you have?

5. What is your enemity with us? When asked "Kyu karte hai yeh aap?" (Why did he do this?) First, he has a straight-faced response "Chhodo aap" (You leave it). Then the reporter further questions him (Do you get money and salary?). Then, he turns to his right (where another man is sitting, who seems to be attending a comedy show), smiles, and tells that person: "Yeh toh allah ka kaam hai" (I am doing God's work).

6. Dehari laga lo: The reporter says "Dihari laga lo" (Why don't you do daily wage work?). To which, he again smiles, and says "Dihari. Dihari kya lagaye? "Toh maarna hi maarna hai?" (So you surely kill?), to which he assertively nods in an amusing manner.

It strongly appears that the police and intelligence agencies will have a tough time interrogating him. He might even jump at them - with amusement and laughter. After seeing the video, I suspect even Hafiz Saeed will be forced to revise his recruitment policy.

HAD the attack caused more fatalities then Indian media would be blaming and cursing Modi for being soft on Pakistan.

So if Pakistan really want to pin Modi down, then tell Hafiz to plan better.
