The International Cricket Council (ICC) termed on Friday the bowling action of Bilal Asif as legal, saying the player could continue bowling in international cricket.

An assessment revealed that the amount of elbow extension in all of the off-spinner’s deliveries was well within the 15-degree level of tolerance permitted under the ICC regulations, the international cricketing body said in a statement.

The independent assessment was performed at the Sri Ramachandra University testing centre in Chennai earlier this month, it added.

Pakistan off-spinner Bilal Asif reported for suspect action

Earlier on October 5, the 30-year-old off-spinner took five wickets for 25 runs in the third and final one-day international against Zimbabwe in Harare to help Pakistan win the match by seven wickets, taking the series 2-1.

But during the match, umpires Jeremiah Matibiri of Zimbabwe and Sri Lanka’s Ruchira Palliyaguruge reported Asif’s action to match referee David Jukes of England.

Confident that Bilal Asif’s bowling action will be cleared: Intikhab Alam

Asif was the third Pakistani player to face questions on his bowling action ever since the ICC launched a crackdown in June last year, with off-spinners Saeed Ajmal and Mohammad Hafeez also being reported.

Just let him take some wickets and his action will become doubtful again.
These lame *** reasons are given by teams which have no sportsman spirit left in them, they just want to win by hook or crook...

International Chutia Council

ICC only finds problem with Pakistani bowler's actions. I think we should start reporting Every Pakistan bowler who enter the first class cricket so ICC can pass them.

How is that non sense ICC cannot provide security to its Official in India, instead of asking for security it sends Aleem Dar back home, Asad rauf was suspended without any investigation by ICC , Not a single bowler has been reported from India, Umpires cannot do that because they now what their fate will be , Harbajhan singh and Ashwin should also be tested for all deliveries ,ICC is not acting as a neutral governing body.

Harbajhan Singh has been reported and Pragyan Ojha has been banned from bowling until ICC clears his action . Get your facts right.
There is nothing wrong with Ashwin's action.
ICC = International Cricket Council. Its is neutral .

ICC works hard to kill bowling in the shortened format.

The regulations on bowlers and how they're enforced is absurd. Imagine if a batsman was told he could only execute 1 square-drive per over, or have reviews for the way he bats, or such a thing as powerplays for bowlers, or a new ball in the middle of a limited overs game.

Instead we have field restrictions, one illegal action call after the other, limited numbers of bouncers per over, centimetre tight leg-side wides, powerplays, dead pitches, free hit after a no ball, short boundaries, massive unregulated bats.

Nope, IBC is the better name for it, International Batting Council.

Harbajhan singh was reported way back when their was no Big Three phenomenon around , it was the same time when ajmal was also reported and then cleared , Shoaib akhtar was also reported and cleared , Harbajhan singh has not been reported , when all other off spinners from around the world are being reported , most of them who belong to Pakistan , Harbajhan and Ashwin are not reported for a single time , no umpire has courage to report them , ICC has turned into an Hypocrite , It should have been an impartial body , what abt its contrasting decision making on security of its officials , Was Asad rauf investigated before dropping him out of umpiring panel ? answer is no , Ojha was not reported by ICC. Its Indian Cricket council under the current circumstances.

I am sorry but your post doesnt make any sense . Yes Pragyan ojha was caught by BCCI and HCA because they suspected his action is illegal and they barred him from bowling until he clears his action. What are you trying to prove here.
Ashwin is not reported for a single time? Yes. You know why, because he doesnt chuck .
