He will also visit Bangalore-based Defence PSU Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) and meet with senior officials there to discuss business and also interact with Indian defence industry captains in Delhi during the trip.

Interesting! A JV of a low cost AEW aircraft with their EMB 145 and our DRDO AWACs could be very interesting for export customers. Also Embraer Super Tucanos and a co-development between Embraer and HAL for the new first stage trainers would be great for both countries!

Hi,

When are these AWACS going to be operational?

perhaps to discuss - Manufacturing of Rafale's vital components together to bring down the costs.
After all Brazil's announcement of winner for its fx2 fighter deal is to be announced by DEFENSE minister soon after this visit

Could be, but the Indian competition is still in a too early stage to make such confirmations, although I would be happy to see a fast decision towards France and Rafale of course.

I posted it in the MMRCA thread before, if we would go for partnership with France for joint techs and weapons, which could be used in export Rafales and export LCA MK2s, it would be a win-win situation for both countries and would boost export chances!
Especially Brazil would be a perfect customer, because their air force has the need to replace over 100 old aircrafts, but the Rafale is clearly too costly for them (mainly in maintenance) to be the fighter that can replace all. So the chance of offering them LCA with the same weapon and techs but way more cost-effective, would be a perfect chance for France and India to get a big deal and Brazil as a stratigic partner for both countries!
