I saw his father interview,
he said, we want that, our son join army and get at-least Cornell rank so they call him Karnal Shar Khan & Captain was his actual rank in Pak army at the time of Sahadat.

I believe i heard that it was his grandfather who started calling him Karnal Sher Khan........what a man!
