As I posted in some other thread many days ago, China hasn't moved back from any place. They only agreed to a new buffer zone after move-in to the previous buffer zone. Galwan valley camp relocation is due to onset on rainy season as it was in the river flood plane. Come September, they will camp again at the same place as previously visible. 16 Bihar has been pulled back and replaced. No one replaces a victorious unit as they are high on morale, fresh from recent victory. Their replacement is a statement in itself

Assuming you are correct about border situation. Maybe, the liberal/socialist/communist media is not highlighting the (aggressive) actions of their communist brothers (china)? Remember, even after 1962 war started by Mao....there are so many Maoists in India at every level...
In contemporary world, no indian politician has taken as many "beatings" from media as Modi has.....and still some people think he is master of media?
My opinion - India is going to initiate aggressive actions as last last resort. India will try to wait out (or) otherwise convince the chinese to withdraw. I believe chinese will also see some reason...

Indian military and establishment have been clueless and scratching their heads for almost a decade now on what is China's position on LAC. They have been begging/pleading China to share Chinese maps with LAC but China has flatly declined to share any maps.
LAC is what Chinese will claim and it will keeping changing/moving towards west with time.
India just has to withdraw accordingly to make peace (avoid confrontation).
Currently China has claimed all of Galwan valley i.e India forces are patrolling only on the West of Shyok river bed.
China has also claimed until finger 2 hence Indian military is no longer patrolling past finger 2.
Tomorrow if China claims the whole lake of Pangong then India will withdraw all its boats from the lake.
India is not only clueless but also powerless.

@HalfMoon - I know you might have reasons to have your feelings that you have for india.
Question to you -
A) would you be happy if you are born in Xinjiang province? Or in baluchistan? Or even as a shia in saudia arabia?
B) you think chinese / pakistanis treat you better?
I know India is not perfect (it will never be). Please do your part to make it better.

Question to experts - ladakh , being barren land, offers no camouflage to tanks. With advanced anti-tank weapons like spike etc....how effective will tanks be in ladakh?

Tanks were very effective in laddak till T-90 were to decimate lighter chinese tanks. Chinese light armour was no match for T-90 and india had put its best of the best tank. Chinese buildup was no where near to strength of indian firepower that T-90 brought to battlefield.
As soon as news broke out india wants to buy light tanks to serve in mountains as current crop of MBT is not apt for region like laddak, and currently india does not have proper tank to tank counter, tanks become irrelevant!
