Fixed, only US had its 5th gen jet engine certificated, i am yet waiting to see the Russian one.

The 117, as a same core design with AL-31, is not a true 5th gen jet engine.

And this is exactly why everyone should put you on their ignore list. Do you perhaps think that T/W ratio, full Authority Digital Engine Control (FADEC), fuel consumption, bypass-ratio, dry thrust, mean time between overhauls (MTBO), service life...ect...ect have anything to do with it?

And please educate yourself about an engine 'core' the 117 and 117S is roughly the equivalent size and dimensions as the AL-31 series engine so of course it would have a similar core. To be a little more specific the core surrounds the turbines, if the 117 has the same dimension turbines as the AL-31 it would have to have a similar core. I mentioned what really matters in an engine such as bypass-ratio, and T/W ratio. Engine core

I won't be surprised if China buys even more Russian engines in the future. Although we use WS engines for our J10B, we don't have enough production capability to produce enough WS engines in the next few years, so J10A needs new russian engines and even some J10B will use russian engines too.

WS engines will be more and more reliable and will finally excel russian engine in the near future, because we have money and huge number of experienced but very young engineers. By the way, J20 is using Chinese WS-10G engine. The ear of our fighter planes' relying on foreign engines already ended.

How so? As it stands India has one of the largest militaries and in terms of traning and equipment India has steped it up a notch.

india is only big in terms of population numbers.
everything else, they are tiny.
if u compare industry by industry, india is no match for china.
only in IT does india have a slight lead, but even that lead is closing.

india is all talk and no substance, thats why they are so backward.
they are a very disorganised bunch of people, just look at the way they drive.

they lack the vision and ambition of china.
india tries to catch upto china, while china aims at the biggest prize which is to catch upto the USA.

india lacks discipline and foward thinking.
