Hong Kong's fate has largely been tied to China - with the exception of the 155-year rule by the British. The Sino-British Joint Declaration of 1984 was drafted to ensure Hong Kong's “high degree of autonomy”.

Referring to the national security law imposed on Hong Kong in 2020, Wasif Hassan discusses how China is failing to honor the agreement.

You mean China still need to honour with opium dealer or land robber? Or your high school teaches you Hong Kong was obtained peacefully by British from China?

US would use any chance to break China's sovereign Integrity. For every place of China, it is either under central government control or becomes US' bridgehead of color revolution. No middle zone.

Blame US for that.

China needs not honor any agreement with the British empire of looters and dacoits. An agreement with a dacoit is null and void from the start. China should have peed on it.

You should not glorify colonialism.

It was the British who violated the agreement and incited and funded the Hong Kong Independence Organization in Hong Kong.

China has shown too much evidence about the incitement and funding of Hong Kong Independence organizations by Britain and the United States.

Since Britain first broke the agreement, then don't blame China for turning its face directly.

The stupidest thing is these British people who obviously have no strength but want to irritate us.
