China's political system is more flexible than US democracy

And who changed these leaders ? You ?
That is the point of Li's argument: That dictatorships are ALWAYS more flexible and rapid in redirections with no regards for the people. But the flexibility he speaks of is not of political structures but more of political wills, as in from one dictator to another, and this is also the deception Li seeks to put pass the readers.

Is that the best defense you got ? So what if you are doing worse than India?

if things are that bad, people will rise up and fight like Chinese people did so many years ago, 1911 and 1949 for example.
and no, we will not use your system.

You mean the communist or dictatorial political systems have no interest groups? This would be a denial and delusion we expect of dreamy eyed communists yearning for a Marxist Utopia.

And he lives in US. Now that is denial with frosting on top.

i will see for how much time your govt will feed you and hide the dark side of communism or dictators:lol:

I have no illusion about the "dark side of communism", but seems to me that you have no clue about the dark side of your system

Our system ? Aren't you enjoying fruits of democracy in Canada?

Another of Chinese Government propaganda.

And patently hypocritical to boot. Communists know very well that they cannot compete on the results front as evident by the spectacular collapse of the Soviet Union and the radical changes made by China in order to survive as a nation-state. They also know that as long as wealth and political freedom disparities exist with the communist world the inferior and too uncomfortable for them to live in, the only solution is to live in functional democracies and try to effect changes from within, all the while living with higher standards than what could possibly be under communism. In other words, instead of trying to live UP to standards, communists must bring DOWN the society they are living in.

if needed, people can fk their leaders in democracy and last time when did u allow protest on streets??and you talk about illusions.

thats just temporary gig while he enjoys facebook , youtube and freedom of speech and assembly here- while occasionally getting to see harry potter movies ;).

More flexible ?? Can the people of China change their leader ??

when a party``not a 'leader' leads the country to prosperity and endless opportunities, why we need to change it? your so called 'democracy' keeps electing the most corrupted and incompetent government in the world

when did we allow protest on streets, hmm, 14 Aug 2011 in Dalian? since you care so much about China, you missed that one? and it did work, people got what they want.
while Occupy Wall Street have been going on for a month, nothing changed but police brutality, media black out and follow up smear campaigns.
That's the US. Did india changed since your last protest?

This much delusional while living next door? So what did Chinese people do after or during Great Leap Forward. Are you telling me they agreed with it?

Through six decades, there have been many blunders and corresponding course corrections. The Cultural Revolution – a disaster – was outright condemned. And the country went from its shattered state to the China we know today. The facts demonstrate the extraordinary capability of a one-party system for change and self-correction.
There is nothing 'extraordinary' about it. Absent an alternate since the communists effectively crushed all oppositions on mainland China and the Nationalists have been quite isolated on Taiwan, if the CPC does not radically change course to compensate for shifting geopolitical conditions and the effects of their disastrous policies, China would have collapsed before the Soviet empire did. These radical changes were necessary out of two sense of self preservations: Of first the Party and of second China.

Dont you think that single party administration will give little room for new views opposed to Democracy. Though both of them have their merits and demerits.
