China’s Ultimate Nightmare: Japan Armed With Nuclear Weapons

United States have technical Suzerainty on countries with US army present. Those countries have to voice their support for Untied States, but they may not provide concrete support and they never support Vietnam and Philippine. Look what happened to those leaders who favored China too much, such as Thaksin Family in Thailand, Roh Tao-Woo in South Korea and hatoyama in Japan. Abe favored China in his first term and he was kicked out in several months.

Ancient China was very good at this. This is why China still can build strong relations with many neighbors under US suzerainty. China clearly understand their dilemma. They may not have the right to express their true opinions. China always ignore their facial support for United States and try to avoid to let them take tough positions.

When Chinese emperor wanted to do something, suzerainty countries were eager to express support. But when Chinese dynasty changed, they would defame the old dynasty and quickly pay loyalty to new emperor. Support is not judged by empty words, but money and military support.

Japan having Nuclear Weapons is not a big deal to China. China has been surrounded by Nuke countries such US, Russia, Pakistan, India and North Korea. Adding one more is not a big deal to China, especially for Japan with small area on unstable islands. Countries with small areas such as Japan have little advantages over China, Russia, United States with vast lands in the era of nuclear wars.

There has been serious calculations on how many nuke weapons needed on east side of Japan to trigger earth quakes and completely put Japanese islands into Pacific and leave little Nuke damages to China. Japan having Nuclear weapons just validate this kind of calculations.

Pretty sure it is going to be a nightmare for the rest of the world as well. The thing with nuclear weapon is, China, US, USSR, these countries built a lot of them, but none of the them used it during the cold war. With Japan's past record of war time atrocities and tendency to lose sight of the overall picture when obsessing with details, there is an excellent chance that Japan will actually use them on China, Russia or even US because asinine reasons and starting a nuclear war.

Don't believe me? Well, here is the strategic train wreck with led to Japan's war with US in pacific. It started off with invasion of Northeast China for resource----->In order to keep their holding in northeast China safe, the rest of China has to be invaded----->To supply the war in China, Southeast Asia has to be invaded---->To invade southeast Asia, United States has to be defeated---->War with United States. Basically, in a decade of time, Japan went from carve a piece of oversea colony for resource to going to war with the most powerful industrial power on the planet. All because a series of questionable train of logic and not know when to quit.

Similar instances can be observed throughout Japanese history and in their modern society. It actually helps to explain a great deal of the Japanese personality. This is also why the Japanese culture is so focused on rank and seniority. When people tends to lose sight of the big picture, you absolutely need a leader to reign the rest of the group in and keep them on track. Of course, there is the question of what happens when the leaders themselves lose sight, which is pretty much what happened in WWII.

China is neutral on nuclear proliferation and use it as one bargain card for United States. Nuclear proliferation puts more damage to US hegemony. If US wants to contain or Sanction China, China can simply do nuclear proliferation worldwide to keep US army busy. This is a deal between United States and China. China helps US on nuclear proliferation and US gives room for China in the world stage.

China is aggressive. Japan can defend himself under threaten nuke arsenal from China.

Therefore even if China attacks Philippines or Japan, as long as it limits to the islands, United States will do nothing except empty words. Nuclear proliferation plays a crucial role here. This also allows for power-sharing among P5 members.

Japan and US does not belong to developing countries.

Without United States protection, Japan will be gone in less than one hour, no matter how great Japanese navy Japanese boasts. Whether Japan has a nuke only affects its damage on China, not its fate. Japan's only future lasts whether it can build friendship with China, US and Russia. Post-War Japanese basically worked on this goal. Unfortunately this generation ruin their 50 years' work and lead Japan slowly into a nightmare.

Japan will soon become developing countries. Just like Soviet Union, developed countries can become developing countries if you allow de-industrialization going on.

This is consequence of provocative activities of China in ECS and SCS recently.

Japan, please don't play with fire.

You may burn yourselves unnecessarily.

On a side note, I was just wondering whatever has happened to Fukushima.

You don't really hear much about Fukushima nuclear disaster. Just imagine what you could have read/watched on "International Mainstream Media" if the same happened in China!

Yes, support is not judged by words. In what way exactly is support for China demonstrated by other countries? They buy Chinese because it is cheap. That is it. Beyond that, they adhere to global political, economic and financial regimes established by the US. They trade in USD. They export to the US. They seek diplomatic and military support from the US.

Also, get two things straight:

1. The diplomatic and strategic affairs of nations are not run according to the whims of its citizens. Governments demand answers: who is the world's foremost proliferator of WMDs? which regime has the longest track record of supporting rogue states? which country has a non-democratic government that is showing expansionist tendencies? which country has such a lousy reputation of crushing its own citizens and minorities that its diplomatic credentials cannot be taken at face value? These are all questions that the Chinese regime is extremely uncomfortable in answering.

2. Chinese opinion on popular perception of its government in the outside world cannot be taken seriously. To be good at anything, one needs practice. The only credible guage in the modern world of popular opinion is the outcome of democratic elections. China doesn't have any democracy (please spare us the nonsense on village-level elections). So its people have no idea of how popular perception is guaged. All that you know are lies fed to you by your state-controlled media.

India has supported China in many ways, liking BRICS, AIIB, SCO. What serious action has India for United States? Just talks, no actions.

You cannot define rogue states by yourself. Every country has its own history and its own development track. Soviet Union collapsed because it tried to force its own ideas on many countries such Hungary, Afghanistan, choslovakia etc. United States is repeating what Soviet Union did.

Democracy is just a political method, not a political goal. if democracy cannot lead a country to develop, then it should be kicked out. The goal of a country's politics should make a country strong and make people rich. This so called elections are not scientific. It always abducted by extremists and ignores scientific solutions. Just one example, if you had elections in mid-eve Europe, you would never have secular politics since most people believed in religious politics. Decisions should be made by scientific data and calculations, not this kind of elections. China vs. United States is Science vs. Democracy. Most Chinese officials have scientific backgrounds while most United States officials are lawyers.

The democracy in China is to guarantee the collection of scientific data and expression of scientific discussions, not for decision making as in the United States.

The China model is more close to corporate structures. CEOs and Chairmans are selected by most experienced people. and then approved by stock holders.

Therefore Chinese governments are as efficient as private companies. State enterprise in China are much better than other countries. This is why United States is scared and wants to set TPP to exclude Chinese state enterprises.

And China has developed this bureaucratic system for nearly 2000 years. We have advantages in this kind of system. Almost all Chinese are well accustomed and familiar with this system. We will not use disadvantaged western system for competition. We just need more and more improve ourselves.

You cannot have a startup to compete with multinational with the same products, the same ideas and the same methods. You need to find your own advantages. If the country is just following the west like this, you will never catch up with them. You always need to ask yourself what's new.

What has Japan to do with Middle East?

good, that you recognise the role of America for balance of power, deep in your heart, especially against a potential hooligan like you.
If a signee NPT member got nuke, what stop anyone from getting nuke? Use your brain. Proliferation is surely happen and that is against US's core interest. You do realize if everybody got nuke, nobody would be scare of the US invasion right? That means US military action will not be effective.

The only possible reason that the US does not want Japan to build its own nukes have little to do with triggering proliferation in the Middle-East (I guess you meant Far East?). The American nuclear umbrella provides a valid pretext for American presence in this region. The more belligerence China shows, lesser the need for excuses, as now all concerned parties except China are advocating American presence in any case. In other words, if Chinese belligerence in South China Sea increases any further, the Americans will have nothing to lose by allowing Japan to develop its own nuclear arsenal, as American presence in the region is in any case welcomed by the other nations.
The world unfortunately doesn't work that way buddy.

Japan, please don't play with fire.

You may burn yourselves unnecessarily.

On a side note, I was just wondering what has happened to Fukushima.

Don't think too much into it. After what happened to them during WWII and in on March 2011, their population become extremely paranoid and sensitive to anything revolving around nukes.

Arming itself with nukes is nothing short of a pipe dream. As it would open itself up, unnecessarily, as a potential nuclear target by its surrounding nuclear armed nations, it would also pave the way for South Korea, Germany, Iran and others to do the same.

This would not be something America would want to see happen, should they screw up in its foreign policies, this can lead to unimaginable catastrophes for them in the future.

Just because America let loose a little on its collar and allowed them to roam a little further on a retractable leash, it does not mean it can finally run or act freely. End of the day, it is still collared and on a leash. The leash will be retracted and its collar will be tightened should it run off too far.

As for Fukushima, they are still scratching their heads trying to figure out what to do with the waste and persistent radiation and nuclear spillage. The radiation there is still dangerously high and contamination and effects can be felt from as far as west coast America. You don't hear much about it because the government kept a lid on it. It will continue to do so until at least after 2020 Japan's summer Olympic. It would be a disaster for them should the international community refuses to travel there due to health and safety concerns.
