What's new

Chinese C-17 Globemaster ready

looks like a PS version . will wait till the real ones out . if its any thing like the one above . good job:tup:

that is a real news ,today is a delivered ceremony of all Structural assembly of Y20,
The Y20 PT is scheduled to make its first-flight in August.
That's great news! By this August, PLA will finally have the strategic airlift ability to deploy 50 ton main battle tanks to Afghanistan to engage US army, to protect Pakistan from indian army, or to protect Iran from US army.

In fact, we can form an entire new military region level "global expeditionary PLA" 中国环球远征军.

First take care of USA sitting in South China sea then think about it

Currently 603 Institute, XAC and SAC are developing an advanced 4-engine large transport (Y-20?) which is smaller than American C-17 and based upon some IL-76MD technology. As the result assistance was sought from Antonov Design Bureau in 2008. Its max payload was expected to be around 50t and max TO weight >200t. Fitted with high-lift devices along the wing leading and trailing edges, the aircraft is capable of taking off from relatively short and unpaved runways, making many temporary airfields behind the battlefield accessible. Currently it is unclear whether the aircraft will have an IFR probe installed or not. The prototypes and the initial batch may be powered by Russian D-30KP-2/WS-18 turbofans, later by the modified WS-10 (WS-118?). A full-scale metal mock-up (head section) of Y-20 was constructed by 2008 and the first flight is projected in 2012. On August 20, 2009 SAC started to build the rear fuselage of the first prototype. It was reported (April 2010) that the full-scale mock-up was completed in early 2010. It was also rumored that the aircraft might serve as the testbed for the Chinese airborne laser weapon prototype similar to American YAL-1 which is thought to be under development. Y-20 is also expected to be converted to a tanker replacing the obsolete H-6U (see below). It might also serve as the carrier of the next generation AWACS replacing KJ-2000. In addition the next generation of medium transport aircraft was rumored to be under development at XAC/603 Institute as well, powered by two modified WS-10 turbofans. Its max payload is around 25t.

Again Russian Engine

when even your aircraft paint is imported from foreign countries, you should be the last one to worry about what kind of engines your neighbor is using.

We are not the one who claiming engine for J20 is made in China but for JF17 Russian Engine is more suitable

it's like a monkey worrying about human problems. try evolving 1st then talk about human problems, monkey.

Hey donkey stay in your limit

we are working on our engine right now which will be installed on all chinese aircrafts, but they are still in development. russian engines works great so we use them currently. these are the types of problems countries with developing arms industry faces. obviously india faces no such problems.

Now we are one the same path slowly and steady ... Kaveri engine program is part of that

you should count we are on the same path with the US too, because you just tell me all turbofan engine are the same, just like how India brag their nuclear power and multi satellites in one rocket payload, your high tech under development Kaveri turbofan engine has the same thrust with WS-9, a licensed Rolls-Royce Spey that China possess it for 20 years.

No matter where it stands against us globemaster , the fact remains that it is an indegenous product . Btw stop making copies of original product . Innovate !!!!!

ICE (Indigenous Cryogenic Engine) is the latest example of Indian innovation which is a downright Russian RD-56M clone, thank you very much for your advice.
