History of Delhi - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

"The core of Delhi's tangible heritage is Islamic, spanning over seven centuries of Islamic rule over the city". Before the Muslims Delhi was not a city with a heart or culture fit to be the capital of a great empire. There had existed only few uneven structures which were sore to the eye. That was only fit for a pagan society. Our forefathers really brought greatness to the city.

ha ha ha ha no wonder your nation is making such great progress :rofl::rofl::rofl:

The Signature Bridge across the river Yamuna is an eight lane bridge, four lanes each way, and has a harp shaped cable stay solution. The boomerang shaped pylon provides to a substantial extent the stress balance required for supporting the deck. It also contains elevators and stairs for reaching the top of the pylon, where a visitors gallery for obtaining a full view of Delhi is planned. The pylon shows two inclined legs rigidly connected to the deck which meet at half height. The upper single leg of the pylon contains the cable stay anchorages and the visitors gallery. The composite deck consists of 2 main girders and cross girders at 4.5 m spacing with 25 to 60 cm concrete slab on top.

Bro did'nt u read this line..There's not much diffrence between India and pakistan!!

It found 53.7 per cent of Indians suffering from this broader kind of poverty, compared with 49 per cent of Pakistanis.

Are you fcuking kidding me? 50% seriously? have you ever been to Pakistan? Look at this

True. The baniya though has bettered the place, and obviously taken over it as was bound to happen. Those more deserving always take the cake, inferior folks must make do with the scraps. Hopefully you'll be able to build an approximation of the Taj and the Red Fort in Dhaka.:chilli:

Way ahead of ya

1.There is no accepted theory as the appearance of the name Delhi. Prithviraj Cauhan is the first major ruler of Delhi we know of.

2. Delhi is a cosmopolitan city wherein live Bengalees as well as others. For the Muslims of SA Delhi has special significance. Atop the Lal Quilla used to proudly flutter our green flag. Every Muslim child pines to see the flag back.

Sad to know that Muslim children you know are delusional. Like fathers like sons I guess:lol:

Who is this backward, communal, two-bit nobody spewing his BS here anyway? All he ever does is make typically idiotic, factually incorrect, and biased posts that manage to give him a bit of an orgasm every now and then, and then runs away with his tail between his legs never to return. LOL

Bro, drop the "every", no need to paint every Muslim with the same brush that our resident head trauma case paints them with. The irony of it all, tell me- you remember Owaisi, yes? Who doesn't remember/know Owaisi, remember the guy with the real power in the party- his elder brother? Now comes the irony, the younger twat was taken up as some sort of new age leader against the Indian Hindu establishment, a man who would sympathize with the Pakistanis and Bagladeshis, perhaps even aid them in their "ventures". If only the people had seen the elder brother in action in Pakistan on a Pakistani show, they might have realized how inane such opinions are.:cheesy:

THAT is supposed to make up for the Taj. They should have shot whoever designed that eyesore and whoever decided to name it after the Taj or draw any parity.

seen these several suburban pics again and again....
where is the downtown?
like this?

Firstly, the image you posted isn't visible, and secondly, if you're talking about a high rise cluster being essential for a "downtown" district, Delhi is not that type of city; it is mostly low-rise, with ample space to expand multi-directionally. The sprawling megapolis of Delhi has many a commercial area/"downtown", albeit essentially low-to-mid-rise. Having said that, Gurgaon and other parts of the National Capital Region (NCR) are experiencing high rise commercial and residential development, and this development is only going to skyrocket in the next few years (but you know that already, so stop trolling).

Moving on...

Availability of space + the fact that Delhi is in high seismic zone has restricted the vertical growth of Delhi. Delhi National Capital Region is the world's fourth largest urban agglomeration .
