Don't try to give tips in China, it's an insult to many people

I donated money to small streamers in China!

In China, if you tip a Chinese person, it will be insulting, not kind.

The Chinese logic is: it is my duty to provide excellent service, that should not be rewarded with extra payment. If you pay an extra gratuity, it is a bribe and a questioning of my work ethic, as well. It's insulting and offensive.

Also too many young people make live streaming money instead of getting a proper job.

Wow - interesting - maybe i should plan my next holiday to China.

I absolutely f-------ng hate the tipping culture in the USA - everytime i go there - i have to take a couple of hundred dollars in 5 dollar bills to "tip" people...

They should really pay people a living wage ...

the only time here in the UK you think about tipping is at a resturant - and even this it is not "expected" as waiters get paid a living wage ..
