ISLAMABAD: Government is exercising self restraint because Imran Khan has desired so, Minister for Science and Technology Fawad Chaudhry said on Saturday, warning the protesters not to underestimate the PTI government.

The minister took a shot at the Azadi March protesters in a couple of Tweets calling them "a bunch of opportunists".

He said the protesters would find no place to hide in Pakistan if Prime Minister Imran Khan "makes a call".

The minister asked the protesters to make arrangements for cleanliness of their march venue on their own since the Capital Development Authority (CDA) has to allocate millions of rupees to address the issue.

He said a foul odor has engulfed areas around Peshawar Morh on the second day of what he said Halwa March.

Ch. Fasad... is media whore... cann't live without TeeVee/AsocialMedia.

Such people have done more damage to this GoP than opposition...

Why?
To phir Kya kahay?
government is afraid of few hundred bearded men?

Not long ago PM gave warning on national TV to Mualana Rizwi and we all know how it ended.
TLP was using the 'namoos e risalat' card to shut down roads and damage property of innocent people over an issue which was already settled by the Supreme Court of Pakistan; YOU do not disrespect Supreme Court of Pakistan like that or there isn't a state anymore. PTI-led government had nothing to do with this matter and acted in the best interests of the Pakistani Public to put TLP in its place. Additionally, murder of Maulana Sami ul Haq at the time of protests of TLP was a bad omen and the protests lost moment consequently.

Azadi March is different and is being funded by the political opposition groups; didn't people see Bilawal Bhutto and Shabhaz Shareef addressing Azadi March crowd? Agenda is to extract 'concessions' from PTI-led government and to put the Wardi Waley in their place. This movement is much bigger than TLP.

People have the right to protest in relation to any cause in a democratic society - this right cannot be exercised "selectively." Excessive use of force might work at times but not necessarily in every context. Push for reforms should be systematic, and not through excessive use of force. Every country is not like China.

PTI-led government should have acted early on; put Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman under house arrest before preparations for the Azadi March was underway. Now, I am not sure. Something is to be offered to Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman now.

Fawad Chaudhry should learn to keep his beak shut. If things turn for the worse, only Pakistan Army have the capacity to save the government. But then, things can really turn for the worse because excessive use of force does not address ideological and/or political problems.

Lack of foresight is a big issue here.

People have the right to protest in relation to any cause in a democratic society
No one has any problem with peaceful protest
They are warning against violent protests agar baat danday ki hai to phir no one can match state or government

Fazlu does not have any legitimate demand so why should he have the right to block roads and business in Islamabad? He is claiming election is rigged and IK is a yahudi agent so why didn't he take it to court or the ECP? In fact why have none of them resigned from the 'selected' Government?

He has no evidence and is actually rejecting a democratically elected Government which is contempt of the election result. He should be arrested for that alone. PTI had a legitimate demand of opening 4 constituencies for investigation so had every right to protest since the PMLN Government did not take them seriously for over a year..

Government should have arrested him long ago, before he had the chance to mobilize people.

They are putting 'pressure' on the government to extract some concessions.

State is well-equipped to deal with dissenting voices in isolation but a political movement can grow much bigger in scale depending upon developments on the ground. Rebellions have succeeded in bringing the state to its knees before. Otherwise, entire country burns and is subject to foreign interventions (e.g. Syria).

You must understand that JUI-F is FRONT COVER; much of the political opposition is on the back-end. They want concessions to evade accountability for their past deeds.

PTI-led government should have arrested Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman long ago, before he had the chance to bring people to the streets. Political acumen is lacking.

Now, something has to give. Concessions are likely.

Mafia in panic.
The only mafia here is Mullah Fasadi, Bilo Rani, ShowBaz & Nasoor and people like you who will be crushed once you try to cross the red line. One day has already passed in your so called dead line and 2nd day is almost passing by. Lets see what you do after that?

Government should let them do what they want, until they attack institutions..

Out of frustration, these mal'oons will definitely do something wrong and after that public/ media will cry for action..

For public consumption, few million rupees everyday to clean the streets shouldn't be a problem.. Public will start thinking that all the required facilities have been provided to mal'oon until he remained peaceful..

Mafia in panic.
Musharraf phir bhi nahi aana!

Fuwwad Chowdary can hug cactus.

Those people who attacked PTV and Parliament were not PTI volunteers but foreign funded terrorists

Musharraf phir bhi nahi aana!
but no one can stop public to compare performance of civil dictators with ex SSG commander General rtd. Pervez Musharraf. you can try though.
