Eleven Hindu men convicted of gang-rape of pregnant Muslim woman in 2002 riots go free

Great, any chance one of these 11 is running for future PM of India?

And can you comprehend the concept of due judicial process?

It was not a judicial process - don't mislead people here.
The committee was set up and headed by the Godhra district Collector. State govt 'approved' the committee recommendations. Nothing 'judicial' about this. This was done as part of gujarat remission policy.
Also, the state govt violated the directives from the central govt about remission policy -

Nothing unusual, life term in India is 14 or 20 years, they did their time and are freed. Even the woman who assasinated ex PM Rajiv Gandhi was freed this year.
In Pakistan its the same for powerful politicians like nawaz sharif, marium nawaz and hanif abbasi. Out of three none served his/her full sentence. Courts announce sentences just for the public consumption.
Even after 75 years we are same in many aspects and India is no developed supa powa.

There are huge differences between discussing about corrupt leaders and Genocidal Modi who are enraging rape capital, female infanticide and genocide on the large scale. Only idiots compare the situations when in reality that Pakistan may have chance to turn over provided right leader takes over as long as the nation resists the powers of bully which is matter of time whereas india as nation is collectively rape-capital driven, practicing female infanticide on large scale and partaking genocide in the massive scale with the support of political, mob and polices - hence to hell-fire. The nation that elects Genocidal Modi with awaan support knowingly on purpose is asking to be burned in hell-fire.

Now read why-

RSS organized felicitation for convicts and distributed sweets.
You are trying to project it as natural process of justice and giving examples from here and there.
It is well thought political process and RSS/ VHP proved it, by "felicitating" them.
There is no harm in accepting bigotry. Now are days people are not only openly accepting it but flaunting it also.
Where did RSS come from?
Do you keep a check on what happens to every convict after their sentence gets completed? From 1947-2022, you never blinked an eye; suddenly your virtue signalling hormones are out of control! Please grow a brain and stop being a stupid sheep.

Two BJP MLAs in commission and other one was BJP sympathizer. But it was not political move, just normal judicial process.

Now tell me, if these convicts were Muslims and felicitation was done BY SOME ORGANISATION...then what would have been the reaction of public and media.......Will they pass it off as NORMAL JUDICIAL PROCESS

Firstly, came back to bid adieu to you, @Paitoo, @Goenitz, @Zibago, @RealNapster, @Jf Thunder, @Hamartia Antidote, @SalarHaqq, @Hassan Al-Somal, @_Nabil_ and some others. I am done with the filth here. Won't login ever again. The forum has become a den of Capitalists and right-wingers

You don't have to leave pdf just because some people don't know how to debate. Well it's a good reason to quit but not enough one

About why you tagged me, as you said on another thread, this is Pragati Purush's ( Man of Progress ) Modi ji's New India where five days ago a nine-year-old Dalit boy was beaten up severely by his upper caste teacher ( a teacher !!! ) just because the boy touched a pot of water to drink. The boy got his eye damaged and he died in hospital. India was supposed to have gotten rid of such 3000-year-old Brahmanvadi anti-human ideology in 1947. On the 15th of August three days ago when India supposedly celebrated its 75th independence day ( Indians are free in what sense ? ) Modi forced every citizen to purchase the Indian flag and hoist it on his or her house, without caring if the citizen had a house in the first place, or had the house not bulldozed by Modi or Yogi's BJP Bhakt administrations, or had the money to purchase the flag. But no, purchase the flag he or she must ! I suppose Modi would have stood in front of this dying Dalit boy and harangued him to scream "Bharat Mata ki jai" and hold the national flag in his weak arms. :) Four days have passed since the Dalit boy died and Modi hasn't spoken up. Nor has Modi spoken up for the gangraped Bilkis Banu especially since Modi included "Naari shakti" ( Female empowerment ) as part of his "grand vision" for India. Wah ! What female empowerment have we seen in watching the rapists of Bilkis and murderers of her family being released from jail and seeing them welcomed with sweets and some females welcoming them with traditional rituals. I suppose it is these latter women who were "empowered". :) India is a crazy place.

Adieu.
:bunny: piss off

https://www.ideasforindia.in/topics...intments-corruption-in-the-supreme-court.htmlNot throwing stones...but then we're supposing that the judiciary is independent and free from Modi's influence.

I find THAT hard to believe....

There are many instances where Hindutva criminals have gone scot-free even after conviction.

I am sure many in India would disagree with you.

How about @Drizzt and @jamahir bhais - will they agree?
No judiciary is only independent on paper in India. Most of judges are selected from within 3000 or so families by Collegium system.

If Verdicts Favour Govt, Judges Can Get Top Jobs: Study

As former Chief Justice Ranjan Gogoi is controversially sworn in as MP, co-author of a research study that tracked post-retirement appointments of Supreme Court judges tells us it isn’t money as much as a search for proximity to power and relevance that leads them to curry favours with the government
https://article-14.com/post/if-judgements-favour-govt-judges-likely-to-get-top-jobs-study

A correlation: Favour the government, get a job

We find that deciding important cases, that is, cases where the Attorney General or the Solicitor General appears, in favour of the government is positively correlated with the likelihood of gaining post-retirement positions. The effect is large in magnitude6 and suggests that authoring one additional judgement in favour of the government in an important case increases the likelihood of such appointment by around 13-15%.

If you want to bid adieu I won't stop you. But as always - and as I have said before, you are free to move to Bangladesh. You will find many like-minded people there who agree with you. Yes respected socialists and some communist folks as well. Generally the intelligentsia is geared toward that type of thinking. Their opinions are not considered vile, just one of many types of flowers in the garden of ideas that exists there.

Feel free to explore the software/hardware development options in that country and reach out to me via PM at any time.

Afzal Guru was hanged just based on suspicion.
not even on suspicion but a sacrificial lamb to assuage hindu anger lest they go and do another gujarat
The Supreme Court has not passed any strictures against the corrupt officers for their shoddy and illegal investigation and has held there is no direct evidence against Afzal. However, they have confirmed the death sentence because they believe that his death is necessary to assuage the feeling of Indian citizens.

It's a state government body. No shit sherlock, who will be it's members?

There is a due process. It's not your kirana shop that you randomly decide who will get remission and who will not.
Conduct in jail is considered for parole/ remission/bail all the time. News to you?

The courts have the power to review acceptance/rejection of remission by the state government u/s 432 CrPc, so what makes you think even if state government rejected it- it would not be overturned by the court?
What extra knowledge do you have on the merits of the application that others don't possess?

Yes Muslims don't rape, Muslims don't serve their sentence, Muslims don't get remission.
Just because you don't know about something, it ofcourse doesn't exist.
You didn't even know Nirbhaya rapist was let off after 3 years in jail!
He was a Muslim boy, he got gifts from the CM. Wasn't it a NORMAL JUDICIAL PROCESS THEN?
If you were born from your mother's womb yesterday, is it my fault you are an ignoramus?

Nah @jamahir, don't leave for good, take a break and come back fresh and kicking.

I've been harsh on you sometimes, I'm sorry, that's me when you "attack" Islam or Muslims. But definitely you are a decent person and a good contribution to this forum.

Au-revoir 👋
