Eurocopter plans to produce helicopters in India

I want Industry revolution in India along with all these ventures. Self dependency in building weapons, machines, and power to innovate. What kind of power you will be when you cannot even develop a fighter jet, or upgrade technologies, or simply have a multinational company. If you have technology you can sell it, why don't you understand?

During my lecture here, the professor showed us a pole with lots of wires hanging and he said , this one was in India and every one in the hall laughed. You do not know how back we are. Industry to develop machine parts, motors, cables, wires, and innovate is very important now.

I accept bro we have lot to Achieve.....but those thing u dream of will take time....Have Faith in ur country and its ppl..
A day India was borned ..Everybody Riddiculed the idea of India..Said it would die within 5 year of its birth..But we Survived And Emerged As Largest Working Democracy.
There Was a time when our Country had to beg from world bank ..today it gives money to world bank

Tell that German professor..Germany had to help of US and other European nation to Revive after World war Devastation..they helped them in there Infrastructure ..there Industry rebuilt
Whereas India after being looted for about 100 yr was left to die its own death.....But we stood up ....tried to walk ..Falltered....felt on our face..but we again stood up
Today Our Industry are making Foreign buyouts....We are Achieving new frontier in technology.

Don't get demoralize by a stupid pic....Ur professor is just an another Arrogant Western Guy...

PS:- Don't forget this Humiliation.......it will keep u going to make ur country a better place:cheers:

Your point is still flawed, because for once India don't want to be a Superpower, secondly India is not able to be independent in the aero field, because the industry is still years behind others.

The latter is the case why you need licence productions, ToT/offsets, JVs and co-developments, because all these things improves your industry in a shorter time, than if they have to learn it all alone. And this is a common procedure all around the world for nations that want to improve their industry, Japan is producring US weapons and licence produce them at home with some customisations, Turkey is licence producing SSKs, combat helicopters, SPHs, IFVs... with some customisations, Brazil is licence producing a several Eurocopter helicopters, Israeli UAVs, even French Exocet missiles.

Even our industry is improving itself, by teaming up, or even taking over foreign partners and benefit from their know how. Take the early Tata diesel trucks as an examples, which started as an JVs with Daimler Benz, or the takeover of Land Rover and Jaguar, or their team up with Denel for SPHs. These are all examples where we had to learn for others first, before we were on a level to do it alone.
The most successful indigenous development is still the Dhruv, exactly because we had foreign support by Germans and French and used the early years to learn. Today we use what we learned to not only re-design it into Rudra or LCH, but also to develop the LUH, which will be the first helicopter that can be developed mainly with the Indian aero industry, because they have reached a good level.

The Industry setup should not only confined to defense purposes. Industry should focus on all fields, infrastructure, roadways, waterways, airways, etc, civil purposes and only then there will be understanding what does a country require and how much, this leads to innovations.

We have built IIT's, IISc, etc etc. they should work on it, where does all of this go? Here in TU Darmstadt, they teach us to be self reliable, we make our own projects and then these models are implemented in the city. this is the way to work. When you always depend on foreign industry, just to do a good diplomacy it will not make you self reliable. What you have you are not making it better then it is obvious that industries will fall into a well. These ventures are great but India needs an Industrial revolution too.

I did not get demoralized, rather that professor also told that indians are contributing the maximum in IT but unfortunately in their home land due to some creatures they are not able to give the best output.

The problem is we are not concerned about what we achieved and learned and these progresses are not evenly spread. The technology is confined only till DRDO and is related to defense. We need our own industry where civilians can learn and implement in our daily lively hood. Use of sensors for pollution on buses, water treatment, load shedding minimizing are some part of this same industry. Where is it seen in India?
