This aircraft just grows on you. I was lucky to have seen this at close quarters in South Korea back in the late 80s. What a beauty of a plane with its unique wing structure and downward angled stabilizers. Every angle of this plane just speaks of apt proportions and aggression ! Too bad many of these have been mothballed ! The closest one can get to these nowadays is through Tamiya / Hasegawa kits !!

Phantoms were everywhere from South Vietnam to Gulf war.But heard unlike other interceptors of their time these were designed with no internal cannons why so???

The Phantom did not originally have any guns or cannons, but experience in Vietnam led to the addition of an internally mounted cannon in later versions.
