Hot deals for LIFT planes in the Middle East, UAE, Saudi Arabia and Egypt

The outbreak of a marketing war for advanced training aircraft for the Egyptian tender

The Italian company Leonardo offers to sell 20 M364 planes with a copy of the M346FA at a price of 500 million euros for 20 planes, that is, at 28 million dollars, less than the Indian plane by 2 million dollars, while India offered 30 million dollars, a price that Italy did not offer to any country, but less than the offer it received. Israel 10 years ago

Italy sold the M346 plane to Nigeria at a value of 50 million dollars for 24 planes and Italy sold Greece a training program to Israel that includes 10 M346 planes and the development of 20 T-6 planes and a service for 20 years worth 1.6 billion dollars We see the size of the Italian fierce competition for Egypt

Italy offers to manufacture components for drones in various systems such as electronic components, communications systems, electronic warfare and mission computers, and to present the Falco Xplorer uav as Italian offset

Italy also offers financial facilities to Egypt

While India offers a wide package of technology transfer to Egypt

Both for the LCA SPORT aircraft, which manufactures the mission computer and the AESA radar

Approved the export of BRAHOMOS/NG missiles

they want to export anti-tank missiles MILAN 2T

Egypt was offered to produce the HAL Dhruv aircraft to replace the SA-341/342 GAZELLE aircraft
Of which Egypt has produced more than 154 aircraft locally during the past thirty years
The plane could Egypt develop a more advanced version derived from it, but it enabled Egypt to discuss the production of a plane derived from the LCH plane with the applications of techniques and methods of higher quality than those applied in India to ensure the safety of the planes significantly

017_ila2008_mv.jpg

My personal choice The Indian plane is still 1000 times better than the Italian plane for many reasons

The Indian plane is considered a light fighter, and Egypt can develop and modify it significantly in a light fighter version. Egypt also needs large numbers of fighters. True, Egypt is working on a project to produce more than 10 different drones at the same time with 6 countries, including China, Poland, Ukraine, Belarus, France, South Korea and Greece

New variant will ne welcome

India offers a wide range of equipment and technology transfer to Egypt, starting with anti-tank missiles, which are nine years old, to sell Egypt MILAN 2T missiles developed to Egypt, and various missiles ranging from NAG to Akasha missiles

FFlDByYVEAAN11m.jpg

The ASTRA MK2 missile was also exposed to Egypt
India announced to Israel that it will sell the BARHOMS missile to Egypt because China is offering the CM-400AKG missile at a lower price to Egypt, and that India will not sell it a copy of BRAHOMS with a range exceeding 300 km by restricting the volume of fuel

India considers Egypt a gateway to selling arms to Africa and the Arab states. Its success with Egypt will make it a real source of arms for these countries, so it is fighting fiercely with Italy in these deals.

AKG.jpg

china refuse tech transfer for SD-10 for that Egypt refuse FC-1

The problem of the Italians, Europeans , and the Americans, which destroyed their economy, think that they are the ones who determine the required level of technology transfer so that countries will continue to import from them and never develop, so they do not want to transfer technology technology.

The Chinese know that in order to have a foothold, they must offer the technologies they have, even if they are less developed than the European, but it is possible to pump more money to provide a better level as a result of export deals, while the Europeans are investing in grants, aid and lower prices, provided that the technology is not transferred

Egypt is also working on the production of huge numbers of all types of drones. There is also a need for fighters to purify the airspace from unmanned aircraft, which requires large numbers of fighters, and the role of the M346 aircraft will be sterile in this role, as the payload is very weak and the arms package is not large

Which countries will offer transfer their BVRAAM ToT to Egypt? Tell me?

You want to take Indian product? A country which still need to import large number of weapon overseas?

i think India offered their Astra mk1 for tot because its a aim120c5 lvl bvr which PAf already try to replace with PL-15 and better SD-10 versions, so considering IAF keeping Astra mk1 in large number in their force its useless, it is mostly likely a interim measure considering most of modern weapon inductions are post 2025, also they ramping up work on Astra mk2 so TOt deal for Astra Mk 1 give them enough fund to R&D for mk2

There are negotiations now between Egypt and France over the production of MICA NG. In the eighties, Egypt had produced the MAGIC II missile locally to arm the Mirage aircraft.

Egypt will produce the MICA NG missile locally,
Because Egypt will buy a large number of missiles, and there are negotiations on them

Supplying 20 OPV missile launchers, each platform 8 Mica missiles, which means a request for 300 MICA NG missiles.
There are additional requirements to supply the Gowind 2500 corvettes and the Egyptian MEKO A200GP frigates. Egypt purchased 150 for 8 LIFE units. The normal rate of them is 120 missiles for the Gowind corvettes, only 50 were purchased, and 240 missiles were purchased for the MEKO A200GP for Less than 120 or only 100 were purchased.

There is the new Egyptian Rafale deal. Egypt will need 180 MICA NG missiles, along with another batch of 150 missiles for the first Rafale deal, France will sell Meteor missiles to Egypt, but in a long period of time and in quantities that are basically insufficient to meet the Egyptian needs, in addition to the very high price
along with more missiles for other fighters.

Next to Egypt, it ordered 300 Scalp missiles to arm the Rafale, in addition to the previous 100 missiles

MBDA will sell Egypt 4 billion dollars worth of missiles, including 100 OTOMAT MK2 missiles

In the past, 130 Exocet missiles were purchased, although they are not suitable for future threats to the Israeli counter-armament, which uses 3 missiles.

As a country, the problem in Egypt is that it has not invested well in the production of air-to-air missiles. The only countries that can provide you with India’s components for the engines, as well as the radar detectors and China as well, as long as you will buy good weapons from them, new missiles with ranges of up to 500 km, Egypt chose the old European missiles beside the ballistic missiles LORA, which was developed to target ships

Rafael-Sea-Breaker-1.jpg

Things in Egypt are pathetic. Developing a BVR missile does not require more than $150 million and you can already get the Russians on technologies because the Russians offered BVR missile technologies to India in exchange for the Sukhoi 30 purchase deals, and you bought from the Russians 80 fighters and 50 attack helicopters. The problem in Egypt is related to development Industrial and mismanagement that does not want to self-development on the pretext that there is no funding, but buys arms deals for 40 billion dollars, a simple

India buys weapons and develops, for example, the ASTRA MK3 missile equipped with a ramjet engine, developed in cooperation with the Russians, with a range of up to 350 km. in technology transfer

The Europeans are not stupid to sell you advanced weapons that will be used against them in the future or against Israel, but they sell you less developed weapons to have the upper hand, so you have no choice but to manufacture and local development

Indian will always claim this project or what but whether it truly materialize is a different matter. Magic Missile is infrared sensor missile which is not as sensitive as active BVRAAM. But I agree, France offering Mica ToT is indeed a very attractive option since France has the meteor BVRAAM. Mica are not that secretive and decisive anymore. But let me add on, Mica missile trying to be a WVRAAM and a BVRAAM is not a very successful missile. I can bet its performance are much inferior to even SD-10 and AIM-120. I am not sure will ToT of Mica will really benefit the military industries of Egypt?

Always in the field of armament, the basic price of weapons evaluates their high performance. The Mica missile has a higher price, as a result of its high performance, and the NEZ area of escape is higher than the commandos, and the height of its range to 100-120 km makes my effectiveness higher. Simply without the AIM-120 C8/D propaganda, it simply did not achieve a range of -160 180 at all, the actual targeting numbers are much lower regarding the matter, or the NEZ has less than MICA

Regarding cooperation with India, Egypt deals with India as a competitor in price and technical offers to other suppliers.
Simply obtaining some technologies from India does not mean completely relying on them.
Rather, the Indian technology will open up a more sophisticated Western technology field. To illustrate simple examples,

Egypt produces the GRAD 122 mm missile. Egypt has copies with ranges of up to 120 km, although the best version in the world does not exceed 52 km, by using French engines specially developed for Egypt in the eighties.
What we want is the basic technologies from India to be developed later with international partners and at a lower cost than obtaining technology from the western side We come to the story of India announcing many projects,
but the size of the achievement was actually less than this in the past, now the rates of development are accelerating due to the high level of technology they have now.

Quantitative restrictions in the volume of local production, this allows me to later develop them at higher levels and the best available technologies in similar aircraft in the West, so I would have benefited from the Indian side by breaking a Western or Russian cycle The Indians refused to supply technologies that were not the losers, because it would also simply encourage Egypt to develop locally for self-styled AIR TO AIR missiles. There are technological suppliers such as South Africa and some small European companies that are ready to develop away from the big monopolistic companies such as MBDA To illustrate a simple example, Egypt has contracted a copy of the IRIS-T missile, with an air defense version, and at the same time owns a Mica missile and also an R-74M missile. Even the missile used in the IRIS-t SLM system Simply, this allows Egypt to have the ability to use these missiles in the production of air-to-air missiles by reverse engineering, whether for WVR or BVR missiles.

Dg8i1mwX0AAhz1Y.jpg

The imperative of developing Amoun systems

Because of Egypt's contracts on these missile systems, European suppliers will be forced to be lenient in transferring technology to Egypt due to the size of the huge deals. The systems are spread in the Arab world and internationally,
which makes the German party ready to transfer technology, but assign part of the manufacturing operations to Egypt, especially since what Egypt has obtained is not all its needs. Egypt still needs to buy 7 other IRIS-T SLM batteries and has great demands to replace HAWK batteries and also develop SKY batteries GARD AMOON with newer missiles instead of the antique SPAROW M and MIM-72F/G missiles That is, simply, missiles in favor of 60 old batteries of both models. Local missiles must be developed to develop these systems that serve in the Egyptian air defense and the Egyptian navy. Some defenders of the Egyptian military industry are talking about that Egypt obtains some technologies in exchange for buying weapons from Europe for the benefit of other systems.

This is the same as an inevitable matter and not a luxury. Like Egypt, I actually have 150 medium-range missile batteries and 300 short-range artillery / missile batteries, and I have needs for more than 1,000 A laser gun to counter air strikes from drones and precision-guided munitions to be used on land and on Egyptian naval vessels,

Why always the policy of skepticism and denial of information The Chinese are not angels, but rather there are no religious and moral restrictions for them to be dividing lines or a kind of self-protection. They simply can eat humans alive when they want to, not the wealth of countries and peoples

All countries are looking for their interests. If we complain about the West, then the East is also not angels of mercy. The two sides are closer to the devils.

Through its lending policy, China seizes the political decision and the wealth of countries, which is what happened in African examples.

Abstract

Purpose: The aim of this study is to examine the motive of China’s and India’s engagement in African countries particularly in Ethiopia, and to address the land grabbing and debt-trap diplomacy between Ethiopia and the Asian drivers, which creates challenges across the diverse social, political, economic, and ecological contexts.
Methodology/approach: This study utilises both primary and secondary data. The available literature is also reviewed. The primary data were gathered through semi-structured interviews and discussions from: (i) several authority offices in Ethiopia, sources close to authorities, information-rich informants, employees, and (ii) perspectives, perceptions, and prospects from individual members of society.
Findings: The study unmasks the win-win cooperation strategy from the perspective of the members of society in Ethiopia, evaluates whether China and India have strings attached or land grabbing motives. The study also shows that whether China’s and India’s move was deliberate, the implications of debt-trap diplomacy and exploitation in Ethiopia are apparent. Additionally, this study investigated several considerable potential threats to Ethiopia that will persist unless significant measures are taken to control the relations with Asian drivers.
Limitations: Some of the limitations of this paper pertain to the primary data collection process from the Ethiopian Investment Commission (EIC) and other authorities, which was very challenging because people can be punished for talking to journalists or researchers. Furthermore, some investors were not willing to participate in discussions because they were engaged in areas that are not related to their licenses. Many interviewees were also not willing to disclose their names, and the data are not exhaustive in the number of investment projects covered.
Originality/value: This study provides new evidence on the influence of Chinese and Indian investment, aid and trade on Ethiopia's social, political, and economic spheres. Additionally, this study contributes to the ongoing debate on land grabbing anddebt-trap diplomacy in Ethiopia.

I am happy if the criticism is real but fact is western and India media are firing all cylinders with their anti- China propaganda. Are u going to deny there is no smearing against China with all kind of fabrication?

Maybe those kids killed in Iraq, Syria and Libya are actually by Chinese in disguise as west?

WION is a notorious India propaganda media. I am sure a lot of Pakistan are aware of it. Their credibility is as good as the globe is flat. People who can take WION news as source are either in same cahoot with indians or simply has unsound mind. Same as the CNN, NYtimes and Washingtonpost who are the mouth piece of US right wing.

If u want to really talk about military spec and sales. I am fine with it. But if you think u can get away with it by dragging in those politics propaganda. I guess u will be very disappointed here.

Although you tried to belittle my replies, you come back again saying that they are propaganda, whether Western or Indian

First, there is no difference between India, China and the West. Each seeks his own interests. Things are not charities, they are not angels, and they do not follow the morals of the heavenly religions. Everyone who can take possession of the wealth of weaker countries does it mercilessly.

Here we are talking about our interests as a country and then as people who give Egypt the best offer and transfer technology we accept it whatever it is and no one cares about us and we are not interested in international pressures from any party. We are looking for good relations with all countries of the world.

To make things clear, the Italians are increasing the attractiveness of their offer to Egypt by selling 24 M346 planes at a price of 500 million euros instead of 20 planes at a price of 500 million euros, which means that they arrive at a price of 23 million dollars per plane, which is a fair price and not the price of 50 million dollars. The Chinese L-15, therefore, considering the quality of the Italian aircraft and that it has a small AESA radar and an American engine that is better than the Ukrainian or Russian engine, the difference in price versus quality becomes better

ORCA DRAWING

I am still in my opinion that the Indian offer would be better for Egypt in the case of transferring the technology to the aircraft, the AESA radar, the mission computer, electronic warfare systems, and some missile munitions that could be used to develop other aircraft. As well as the Su-30, which the Russians are unable to provide an AESA radar for the Su-30 and refrain from developing the Su-30 well to drive sales of the SU-35/SU-57
We are not looking at the level of Indian radar now, but as a basis for its development for a better radar. This general view of Indian products is not for its current state, but rather because it can be provided to better levels.
India has some missile engine technologies that Egypt may want, and AESA radars for air-to-air missiles. It benefits from selling the technologies to Egypt in providing financing for its other projects.

The same thing is India, a good factory of components for weapons using Western technologies, not complete systems. Therefore, cooperation with it is less expensive than cooperation with the West in many systems. It is also an incentive for the West to provide better technology transfer. As I saw the Italians, they lowered the price of the M346 plane at a price that was not offered to any country, so I sold it to Israel 10 years ago. At a value of $30 million, it was sold to Poland for $36.4 million and sold to Nigeria for $50 million

India's entry into cooperation programs represents a pressure factor on China in supplying equipment. China is cooperating with it after dividing Ethiopia into several states. Most of the people now agree to divide Ethiopia into 3 Tigray countries, and Benishangul belongs to Sudan, and the rest of Ethiopia is like the rest of Ethiopia. China and the Russians refuse to care, because we are also ours. Another request is that Aromia be liberated and Somali lands return to the bosom of the mother Somali nation, leaving the Amhara and Tigray states to be enemies of each other, so that the Horn of Africa countries will be safe. The West, for they provide what we want from weapons as well as financial support to Egypt, and they are a customer of Egyptian oil, Egyptian gas, Egyptian electricity and Egyptian tourism.

While we have not benefited from the Russians by transferring technology anything so far
Rather, the Russians fought Egypt by preventing Russian tourism from Egypt, as Egypt can maneuver between all countries in the world in search of its own interests
What moves nations is primarily their interest
And the Chinese do not benefit Egypt, the economic volume of their investments and the volume of Chinese tourism to Egypt are very low. China, Egypt, imports nearly 12 billion dollars from it. The volume of Chinese imports is less than 2 billion dollars. The volume of Chinese tourism does not exceed 100,000 Chinese tourists. Rather, China is fighting Egypt in Ethiopia and with the policy of cutting water. About the countries on the pretext that they fear that the neighboring countries will complain about them, which the Chinese cut off mercilessly from their water in the rivers shared with China
This shows that relations with China are no longer in Egypt’s interest, while others provide better technologies and better cooperation programs. Pharmaca and Europe are interested in cooperation programs in river transport between Egypt and the Nile Basin countries and linking Egypt with Africa with networks of river roads, railways and information cable. Everyone is afraid of widespread Chinese information espionage. In Africa, Egypt welcomes cooperation with China, but rather supports the Silk Road with China, although Egypt does not benefit from cooperation with China well.
Rather, China offered Egypt modest levels of technical transfer, which affected the military cooperation programs and made Egypt turn to better options In general, we follow who will win the Egyptian contract

The fact is, can Egypt trust India? India as always promise so much but delivered little. Tejas indigenous rate are estimate as low as 40%. The so called AESA are still in development. Current radar of Tejas are Israel AESA. What makes you think Egypt are willing to be the guinea pig and take such a big risk?

You want to take Indian product? A country which still need to import large number of weapon overseas?
Why does the superpower import large number of weapon from overseas?🤨

Warmate loitering munition

You follow the same stupid policy because you do not have the ability to persuade or the ability to be able to deal transparently with sales. I am not Indian and I do not care about Chinese, Indian or Pakistani products. You do not know anything in Arab forums. I am the first to present Pakistani defense products for more than 10 years and in 2006 I was promoting the FC-1 and the future of its development, but many Arab air forces were not convinced by it after its experience.

Egypt does not trust any country. With the West, we do not buy weapons from them with cash, but with loans. Even if any Western country retreats from the supply, the losses will be for their banks and companies. The matter is not trust as you imagine. Rather, we have requests with quality levels that if implemented, the contract and the supplier has to abide by these contracts because simply If he does not commit, he will lose and not us. The things are not friendship, nor love, nor are they related to religions. They are commercial transactions and deals, nothing more.

New Hummer EV

People like you, in their ignorance, think that matters are related to nationalities or countries, and this in itself is unparalleled stupidity and the ability to deal and evaluate. The point is that Indian or Pakistani nationality is an explanation of how low and low your thinking is. If this matter was in this way, Egypt would not have contracted the K-8E or the F-7 & F-6, although they are technically modest, but Egypt is looking for what suits it and is developing it to the best available level. The vehicle has in the structure 60% instead of 25% for the first production batch of 80 aircraft, then it underwent programs to develop and replace components of modest performance with better components developed for the second production batch. Developing aircraft that serve the African Air Force during the Umrah periods in Egypt

I hope that you elevate your mind and your mind and move away from the ways of skepticism, treason, belittling and hostility in Pakistan. India simply put Pakistan in the EDEX-21 exhibition by increasing its pavilion and displaying more products because there is good and increasing cooperation between Egypt and Pakistan and the joint development of the Egyptian experimental production factories and some Egyptian products in cooperation with Pakistan that provide solutions Technical and financial costs are less expensive than other countries, as Egypt cooperates with all countries and all parties

The development of new armored vehicles based on the SEP T2 design is much better than the poorly reproduced BMP-1
SEP_10.jpg

Egypt cooperates with Ukraine in the production of defense and programs for the development of armored vehicles and drones. Am I in this case a Ukrainian and an enemy of Russia? Things are not withdrawn by the logic of the children. You are Indian or you are Ukrainian. So you have to learn to live up your mind and to stay away from the policy of hostility or distortion and not demonize the other because you are the one who puts himself in embarrassment and I am not afraid of anything.
