All expats in the US call/write to your local senator/congress(wo)man. Also tell your relatives, other Pakistanis that you know. There are lots of template letters you can find online, I will be searching more myself later when I have the time. They do take these calls seriously, especially if you are a resident where they were elected. Please come up with a short and concise "speech" if you are doing this be sure to include the Pakistani community in the area and how they offer support for the election etc etc. Do a little bit of research on congress/senate members directly involved with South Asia, especially if they are in your area it will make a difference. If you find one please mention them.

If the representative has been/is involved in legislation on topics directly related to Kashmir such as freedom of press, women's rights, illegal weapon usage be sure to cite these issues and relate it to their history with the legislation.

Quick little guide on how to go about doing this:

Sample letter:

I do not have experience in this so if anyone has tips on how to go about this please feel free to share.
