Improved Advanced Light Helo Ready for Indian Army

Good job India. Now modernize our fighting strategies using all this new tech. Refine it, make it better than existing battle plans. The practice....

Sir, AFAIK the very latest variant (for unarmed ALHs) is the MK.III

That's the current production model, but the MKIV is the latest upgraded not the name of a version. Just like LCA MK2, will be the next upgrade of the LCA.
That's why I said above, no matter which ALH version (Dhruv, Rudra, naval) will be build next, they will be MK4 standards.

What I meant was that the AH-60L was marketed for its combat-effectiveness wrt it is multi-role functionality and the fact that you effectivley get a utility helo and attack helo in one package.

That's because the arms are just an addition to the normal transport helicopter version, just like it is for our latest Mi 17s, but for Rudra the re-design is much bigger and changes the operational use as well. Rudra will mainly be used for fire support roles, or to carry special forces if required, but you can't see it as a normal Dhruv anymore, since it wouldn't be used in similar cargo transport or lifting roles.
