India returns air force aircraft
The training aircraft of Bangladesh Air Force (BAF), which had made an emergency landing in India amid bad weather over a month back, was returned yesterday.
A 20-member BAF delegation, led by wing commander Shahidul Islam, received the aircraft from Indian Air Force officials at Benapole check-post in Jessore district at noon.
The BAF aircraft lost contact with the air force control tower some time after it had taken off from BAF Matiur Rahman Base in Jessore on April 25.
Later, the aircraft made an emergency landing on a paddy field at Raipur village under Salar police station of Murshidabad district in Paschimbanga.
