NEW DELHI: India on Tuesday successfully carried out a test launch of tactical ballistic missile Prithvi-II from a test range off the Odisha coast.

"A successful training launch of a short-range ballistic missile, Prithvi-II was carried out today from integrated test range, Chandipur off the coast of Odisha," the ministry of defence said in a statement.
The defence ministry said the missile struck its target with "high accuracy".

It said that Prithvi-II missile, which is a well-established system, has been an integral part of India's nuclear deterrence.

It said the "user training launch" successfully validated all operational and technical parameters of the missile.

The Prithvi-II missile has a range of around 350 kilometres.

In 2022, India successfully tested Submarine-launched Ballistic Missile, indigenously-developed helicopter launched Anti-Tank Guided Missile ‘HELINA’, Laser-Guided Anti-Tank Guided Missile, Naval Anti-Ship Missile, Quick Reaction Surface to Air Missile, Medium Range Surface-to-Air Missile, Vertical Launch Short Range Surface-to-Air Missile, flight-test of Phase-II Ballistic Missile Defence interceptor AD-1missile and Man Portable Anti-Tank Guided Missile.

India had also successfully fired the Extended Range Version of BrahMos Air Launched missile from Su-30 MKI fighter aircraft.

The whole point of DRDO missile development and other showcase projects for Moon and Mars Missions is to finagle money from gullible Indians and put it in Modi and his Seth friends' (Adani et al) pockets. The last thing Indians will get out of these garbage programs is any returns. Tejas and Arjun programs are proof enough. Multiple decades and billions in dollars lost to nothing.

Unbelievable what day-in and day-out Godi Media propaganda can do.

I can pretty much guarantee when the time comes - almost none of these missiles will work, thanks to "Bhartiya assembly kwallity". Almost nothing made in India is made without cutting corners.
