India tells Asean it believes in ‘open’ South China Sea

we have special relationship with Cambodia govrment, that why we're granted to have timber bussiness there, when China can not.China is just a cash cow to ASEAN, they have No influence to any ASEAN nations, that's all.

Then you should act grateful if we are your cash cow. :coffee:

mekong patrol is to protect China merchan ship in Mekong river, so why do we need to waste our time to protect China ships ??

If Malaysia, Brunei is pro China , then they're pro America too.

they needn't choose one side between China and USA.
such as Thai, Thai keeps good relationships with USA and China at the same time.

shameless thick skin boost definitely YES

Dont talk bs here your bakcward country cannt take on china, we are way way way ahead of india. The only thing india is good at is bs talk all the time LOL

India is already exploring oil in South China sea, and will enter in security pact with Vietnam. Shows our balls and the size of it.

While China is yet to settle in Gwadar port, look who's talking big now?

It's more then that for Mekong, It's rather both.

Depends on some things you pointed, Malaysia, Brunei, Indonesia, Cambodia, Laos seem to be the Pro China countries and they have alot of Influence also why wasn't vietnam invited to mekong river petrol ?

If so, Vietnam is also pro china?
Your last is a silly question.

Actually Malaysia, Brunei, Indonesia, Cambodia, Laos are pro china countries, they have very close relations to china including Chinese influence and Chinese running their economies. Vietnam has always tended to be a Neutral with the China Relations. V

Thank you, India. But do not be so child-like. India is not a player in China-Vietnam conflict. India exploring oil in Vietnam is good, but India is only a small partner among many others. Vietnam exports equipment to India more than import, and import more agricultural products from India than export (I posted the 2011 trade data in another thread). In trade, India may be as importance to Vietnam as Phillipines and even less important than Thailand, while China is our largest import market and second largest export market.

Regarding security pact with Vietnam, possibly India needs Vietnam help for your defence. Remember that Phung Quang Thanh, Vietnamese minister of Defence, has never been to India, while your Defence Minister has been to Vietnam at least once recently.

If Vietnam need protection against China from any one, the only choice is either US or Russia. We need to cooperate with India for mutual benefit, because India is scared of China even more than us, but it does not mean we need India's protection.

people here can see you're bias to China. Malaysia, Brunei, Indonesia, Cambodia, Laos never say they're pro China, specailly Laos and Cambodia where lots of VNese are living.:coffee:

Do you have proof to prove what you say? Or is it just you feel?

Hehe, so I think you always got Zero in history when you're student. Laos's leader were Vnese-Laotian and he's pro VN during VN-China war. :coffee:

Perhaps you are no longer in Vietnam so you do not update the news.
India has been granted access to the military port of Nha Trang in Vietnam. Mr Thanh did not visit to India but his boss, President Truong Tan Sang visited India last year...

Vietnam and China have regular visits between the senior leaders of the two governments. Two countries with similar cultural, political trends are similar ( communist party in power) ...
If you think that Asian countries pro-China, so why do not you think the same thing with Vietnam?

Thank you to the proof you given, but it did not convince.
