New Delhi: An alleged Indian Mujahideen operative, believed to be the 'technical expert' of the banned terror organization, was arrested by the special cell of the Delhi Police from Saharanpur in western Uttar Pradesh last night.

Ajaz Sheikh, who worked at a call center in Pune, allegedly helped IM operatives with fake identity cards and forged documents.

He is believed to be associated with the group since 2009 and was allegedly involved in several attacks including the Jama Masjid blast.

Police sources say his arrest from Saharanpur suggests the group was planning an attack in western Uttar Pradesh.

Ajaz's arrest is yet another setback to the IM that has seen several key arrests in the last two years. In March this year, Tehseen Akhtar alias Monu, an alleged expert bomb maker, was arrested from the Indo-Nepal border. His arrest had come days after another top IM operative, Zia Ur Rehman alias Waqas, was nabbed from Ajmer in Rajasthan along with three of his associates.

Yasin Bhatkal, the man who headed the India operations of the Indian Mujahideen and his key associate Asadullah Akhtar alias Haddi were arrested from Indo-Nepal border last year.

Good! We have to eradicate these bastards one by one..hopefully he can lead to more arrests! :D

I was guessing my neighbours were going to be named in this thread but I am disappointed after hearing this. Jeez!!! Nowdays even northwest UP wallas are giving tough race to my neighbours in eastern UP aka terror factory. Hint-Sanjarpur!!!

BTW hats off to our intelligence people. Political people have pretty limited role. These silent soldiers do their work while getting very less benefits.

It's about time India must start a prison in A&N Island. Ship off such scum their and leave them there to rot for their rest of life.

Are these the alqaeda terrorists that pakistan is sending over?

Nah.. They can work for any terror group as long as they gets money and other support. It could be AQ, ISI or ISIS, it doesn't matter for them. These pigs can eat any grass to survive.

Naah. Most of them are sleeper cells. Needs a lot of intelligence network to break them. Hopefully we are moving in right direction.
