Iran's state media says Istanbul has been confirmed as the venue for a new round of talks scheduled for this week between Tehran and the six major powers over Iran's disputed nuclear program.
Iran's official English-language Press TV cited anonymous sources in its report Sunday that the negotiations would take place in İstanbul.

Iran's Fars news agency said the sides had also agreed to hold a second round of talks in the Iraqi capital Baghdad if they made progress in Turkey. There was no immediate comment from the world powers - the United States, Britain, France, Russia, China and Germany.

While Iran has considered İstanbul an acceptable location for talks, Tehran had proposed other venues - such as Iraq or China - for the negotiations scheduled to start Friday as Iran's ties with Turkey have soured over the crisis in Syria.

What about Tripoli and Damascus? Khartoum? Anyways Istanbul will do too. After all it is a boxing match where Iran will alone face 6 powers at the same time. Do not disappoint us Iran:

What about Tripoli and Damascus? Khartoum?

you really believe that those palces will be a good place to hold talks?

Damascus, under attack by FSA assad can't even hold his own city in protection and he is going to hold diplomats under protection?

Tripoli...? that place is as unstable as it is right now.

Khartoum? no thanks, the world isn't keen on holding talks in a country where Genocide is the main goal of the government.
