Is reading wife's e-mails a crime?

Husband can read wife's email but wife cannot read husband's email and thats the bottomline.

I doubt anything will happen to the guy. It is interesting that he can be charged with that though even if they are a married couple. If he can't check her emails to figure out if she is cheating on him how exactly would he go about finding out ? Certainly a weird case.

I was once asked by a friend's wife to hack into her husband's email and let her read his inbox,because she was sure he was having an affair,just needed proof to make her yet to be filed divorce case stronger...She was a computer Dumbo and i am no hacker but i do know how to use hardware and software key loggers...
Needless to say i never helped her out...
