Chittagong, Sept 15 (UNB) - A joint exercise titled “Co-ordinated Afloat Readiness and Training” (CARAT) of the Bangladesh Navy & the US Navy will be held from Sept 18 to 25 in Chittagong.

In the eight day long exercise, a good number of Bangladesh Navy war ships and establishment including BNS BANGABANDHU, the most modern BN frigate, will take part, said an ISPR press release.

Besides, 4 US Naval ships will arrive here to participate in this exercise. As a part of this exercise, a special sea exercise and harbour events will be conducted and participated by both the Navies.

The programmes included various training including launching of shipboard helicopters, security based training, maintenance of small warships, diving and salvage, surface gun firing, complimentary medical service to civil population etc.

On completion of the exercise, the US Navy ships will leave Bangladesh on September 25.
 
This is cool. I was searching for this news though!

The last one was Ex-Tiger Shark, conducted last year.
