Karachi: Zulfiqar Mirza's statement triggers another round of violence

hello, who is them, im talking about you afghanis

the resident afghanis are a part of the problem but thats not it ,lost of them are very hard working and dont give a to any crap they just want to live and let live ( they are many who are unregistered ) issue is there are talibanis and AQaidoos hiding in the city slums which is not just the afghan slums but with many others as well ,a political party who have lost ground in KPK after badly cocking up on their terrain seems they are getting compensated here. Its an old routine of our establishment to use cities like karachi , quetta , peshawar for their sh*ty games.

just heard news govt is planning bring in FC to take control , so whats wrong with rangers than ....!!!??

you people don't live here but we do .. how can you debate about thing which you have no idea about ..
you have to be in streets to know what is going on here .

You think your post deserve reasonable reply? read your post again, you know nothing about Karachi.

I am receiving dead bodies in Quetta, a gift from MQM. Most of them are not affiliated to any political party and connected with business of hotels, restaurants.

for God sake come to karachi then see ... You don't live here how can you decide then .. i just saw on TV .. dozens of ANP terrorists with Ak47 straight firing in streets ...... This is worse than waziristan ..

I don't like the army but I think its time to give them full control of Karachi. But looking at the Army's past record they will only kill the wrong guys. This is the fckin economic center of Pakistan ffs and it's being riddled by daily violence. Why can't this pathetic government who has uncle's sam's dck in it's a$$ understand? Do something death toll has gone above 80 now.

Declare Karachi a Federal territory or separate province

Federal control of the city ..

Complete & massive deweaponisation

Army should take control of the city , remove all terrorist hiding in Pakhtun areas ..

We don't want this incompetent , illiterate provincial govt to rule us ..

There will always be finger pointing from both the ANP & the MQM at each other. MQM workers will say they hold arms to protect themselves from ANP workers, ANP workers will say they hold arms to protect themselves from MQM thuggery. The fact is, the best solution is demilitarization of Karachi, everyone gives up their guns, & you'll see these issues resolved. MQM already brought the deweaponization bill on the table, only to be rejected by PPP & the ANP. The problems of Karachi will not be solved without demilitarization. The top brass of the ANP & MQM are insecure of each other, & will always be that way. These issues can only be resolved by demilitarization. In the current situation, every little agitation & murder of one person leads to huge numbers of people killed. So let's stop the finger pointing, & let's clean up the mess. And send the illegal Afghan refugees out of Karachi & Pakistan, back to Afghanistan. If the ANP workers refuse to comply to these demands, they should be asked to leave Karachi as well. Time to make the first priority Karachi & Pakistan, not their fellow Afghan "brothers" that are an added burden to the state. Illegal Afghan refugees are an added burden on the state, they need to be repatriated, & there is no place for them in Karachi anymore. The situation in Karachi is volatile as it is.

Express 24/7 correspondent, Shaheryar Mirza reports fighting has spread to different parts of the city, including Kharadar, Banaras, Kati Pahari, SITE, Baldia Town and Korangi.
Miscreants are reportedly firing from the rooftops and windows of houses in different areas.
“What good is a day of mourning? We haven’t had any food, water or petrol in the last three days,” a resident of Qasba Colony said in response to the MQM call for a day of mourning.
There are no reports of Rangers or Police conducting raids. Police is yet to enter some neighbourhoods.
