Large number of Chinese troops seen heading for China-Vietnam border

More like showing india is impotent when comes to international scene.

China is already a superpower demonstrating her prowess when India still stuck in internal fight and struggling with infrastructure development and economic reform.
Dude you forget china started reforms before India, dont forget where you started.the main difference between both the countries is ,you like for example you have to watch what you say even on net if you live in china and we say what we want ,you know what is that called ?
Regarding your bravado, you are talking about a oil rig in reference to china and vietnam,we have already added couple land areas which you claim into the India union and we have been having elections there for decades :D...if you dint understand what i ment quote me,i will help you discovery your true self.

Do not be stupid when you talk we are coward to face Japan . The time is changed , rules of Jungle applied to animal only.

he he, you can not deny that china is feared from Japan when china do not set up your rig near by Senkaku. :haha:

Nope , we are not as stupid as Vietnamese. We do not want to destroy our economy.

The bilateral trade value between Jap and CN is more than 300 billion , too much huge than Viet.

Now the current situation around Senkaku is Jap and CN play mouse and cat game.

The situation of Senkaku was changed to our advantage .

Before we even do not patrol over there

Jap does not have rig there , we do not lose any source .

If we want to step forward , we will do it with strategy and certain tactic .

China national policy will not be kidnapped by extremist like Japanese nationalization of Senkaku, it is stupid.

India intervened and gained vital relation with multiple neighbours.we've 5 neighbours who are closely dependent on us for foreign policy as well as on defence matters.we barely need to poke our neighbours to get "Superpower" status.plus,International Scene??in which International scene China ever intervened apart from Korea, which was 65 years ago??

ASEAN NATO? Another incompetent Indian dream.

probably China couldn't digest the concept.but its more clearer than ever.see,USA was talking about "Asian Pivot" for last 10 years.China thought it'd never come.to test it,China started poking its weaker neighbours.they got frightened and offered USA the same bases they kick them out 2 decades ago.its called Self Fulfilling Prophecy.

How do you know China thought it would never come?

When did China take back the Xisha Islands? Obviously a more radical move then than placing a rig there now.

Besides, if the US really had the capacity to pivot and contain China, it would have done so well before China became a threat to its dominance in Asia. It would not have been hard for Washington to incite neighbors against China even ten years ago. What kept them?

It is not about Vietnam or the Phil; it is about geopolitics and national considerations. It is unavoidable that the China-US cold war would not be played out over some proxies. This is to rule out a direct confrontation.

What moves the US to Asia, in my view, is not a position of strength, but weakness. China knows this, US knows China knows this.

For some strange reason, second tier incompetent countries love to lecture China on democracy this democracy that. It is interesting to see that first tier democracies like Japan and Korea do not really care about China's system as they inherently know that what makes a country successful is not the regime, but the people, culture, and systematic, long-term thinking.

You may have an election for centuries to come, but you will still be the same incompetent India, putting your faith and hope on the next elections. The truth is, we will lead you in every humane index and you will drag your feet behind us. And democracy will be your only shining import. Poor man's consolation.

China took back Spratly in 1988,Cold War and then,China was having cordial relationship with USA.the equation changed in 2000.nobody contains a threat before it becomes a threat in geopolitics.they let it happen, and when a threat becomes treat to others as well, they get the needed support to contain it.tell me,how could USA pivot in Asia when China wasn't as aggressive as now it is??in 90s,Philippines thought they'd not need USa anymore.they kicked them out.its the same Philippines who're inviting USA wholeheartedly.no threat,no pressure from USA,but now countries want USA to back up these weak states.welcome to Cold War 2.0.see,its not how things evolve in the International Arena, but its how you could make it in your favor makes you strong.they don't need to "Contain" China.USA probably never took the initiative.but see, already you've lost Vietnam as a business partner.the things will become more complicated for China when China will create more pressure on its neighbours,as they'll loose more.its not some wishful thinking.its the way they play game.USA will simply make inroads in Asia, probably put few more bases and sell weapons to "Angry Neighbours".they'll take care of the everything.it worked against SU,it'll work against China.the worst thing is,SU had its own block,China doesn't.the only thing in favor of China is they're major economical power.

Korea, Vietnam: major moves. China is more discrete today, but aren't they enough to sacrifice people for freedom for countries that don't like them?
What India has done against the USA except hiding?

What Vietnam has done without people behind?

Just some Falun Gong terrorist and U.S. proxies spreading anti Chinese propaganda and histeria about some simple routine training to make it look like China is the side escalating the conflict into a war with troop movements, while in fact its only Vietnamese aggressive provocations on the sea approaching and disturbing the Chinese oil rig on legal business with aggressive behavior and Vietnamese hooligans attacking and murdering innocent Chinese-ethnic civilians on land.
Until now it has been only Chinese cost guard vessels passively and reactively protecting the oil rig and vessels doing completely legal business around Chinese islands. There is no war threat unless Vietnam becomes even more aggressive and their direct provocations lethal.
No, we wont fire first, unlike China, we act follow the international rules. Smashing & looting Chinese properties r enough to prove that VN willing to confront big bad China. US-EU can trust VN in containing China , so pls support VN , transfer military tech to VN and help us to get rich first:pop:

The highlighted part that is the reason, what is worth more than people in a socity and what can be more worth to people then be able to do what they want to do,even a 1 year old asks questions thats home one matures.
you tell when you cannot question anything what your govt does.
I leave it to you to judge.
The difference between India an china,if road is built yes that development,In china they can just draw a line and uproot the people on the line and build a road, yes its development but at what price, but it India it dsnt happen that way thats the difference.

Are you looking to make a new future treaty with USA? So you can have USN warships dock and patrol Vietnam waters?

U.S. navy renews call for ship visits to Vietnam as tensions worsen
(Reuters) - The U.S. navy renewed calls on Thursday for more ship visits to Vietnam against the backdrop of a dramatic breakdown in relations between Vietnam and its giant neighbor,China.

The Seventh Fleet, which guards U.S. interests in the Pacific, restated its desire for stronger naval ties with Vietnam in a statement sent to Reuters, just as Hanoi looked to be running out of options in its territorial row with Beijing.

Anti-China riots broke out this week in Vietnam, killing more than 20 people and setting fire to factories perceived to have been Chinese-owned, after China towed a giant oil rig into waters claimed by both nations in the South China Sea.

Vietnam..SU provided jets.China based them and send few thousands engineers to Vietnam to repair infra.within 10 years,China sent tens of thousands of troops to capture the country.not a major move in that respect.

India is still following NAM.USA is not our enemy.we faced USA's 7th fleet in 71.but then again,we barely have political interest beyond our region.though it is growing now a days.

Kam Ranh Bay...but does any country started using the base yet??

And the price of not drawing the line in an efficient way in India is 2 million kids dying every year, sort of a silent genocide.

By the way, do not forget, many consider your democracy a sham -- a Nehru-Gandhi aristocracy at best.

China has had the same claims for 70 years and frequently acted on its claims, including numerous skirmishes with the Viet and Phil. Nothing has changed really since then. It does not matter whether China's historical claims opened Asia for US incursions or not.

China will strategize based on its own priorities. Today, regional politics revolves around China's actions or inactions. That's the result of China's growing power. The only force that can compete with China is the US. And the two sides are now playing their cards through proxies. That the proxies are pro-China or pro-US does not matter. They are side shows and what really matters is the result of the great power game. That's still up for grabs.

Basically, it all comes down to geopolitics. Whoever plays the game better and whoever has enough resources and
stamina will probably get the prize.

Not yet, Cam Ranh bay is still used as a place to repair and serving ship . If China keep pushing us, we will welcome US 7th fleet to dock there .
