AURANGABAD/MUMBAI: A suspect in the 2008 Ahmedabad blasts was killed and two of his accomplices arrested in an encounter with Maharashtra ATS on Monday which also left a constable wounded at Aurangabad.

The deceased has been identified as Khaleel, a resident of Gulmohar Colony in Ahmedabad, police said.

The encounter occurred near Uddhav Rao Patil Chowk in Himayat Bagh area of the town around 12.30pm, sources said, adding two accomplices of Khaleel identified as Mohammed Shabbir and Abrar, were arrested in an injured condition after the encounter in which an ATS constable Sheikh Arif was also wounded.

All three have been admitted to the Government Medical College and Hospital at Aurangabad, the sources said.

One of the two arrested was also involved in the murder of a BJP activist, they said.

Ahmedabad was rocked by 21 bomb blasts in July 2008 within a span of 70 minutes in which 56 people were killed and over 200 injured.

Excellent job! This is what these terrorist scum wannabe-foreign losers deserve.

3 cheers for ATS.. Keep up the good work.. :guns:

Easy death to that suvar...

Well at least they lightened mother earth's burden before those human rights terrorists came in support of these losers. I am happy. We must kick out these so-called rights agencies out of our country for their constant support to terrorists and terror groups.

Is not encounter illegal, supreme court came down heavily on gujrat police before.

No, FALSE encounters are illegal. If any encounter is illegal, how would you catch anyone at all, without first encountering them? Why would we have an armed police force at all, if the use of force is always illegal?

A false encounter is one where the police murder someone and pretend that it happened during an encounter or battle with them.

Vijay salaskar, one of the martyrs of the 26/11 attack, was an "encounter specialist" in the mumbai police.

Waiting for Human Rights Organization to come to the rescue of these scums.

Come on, you are telling me legal and illegal encounter. lol.
Encounter is a euphemistic term used to describe cold blooded murder by policemen.
Majority of such encounter happens because police simply will not catch the criminal but rather try to kill him.
Have you not read about some businessmen killed in encounter due to mistaken identity?
