These are good statistics but what is more important are the "facts on the ground".

The middle class in China has been growing, and China is now Apple's biggest market.

During the recent Nov 11 Single's Day, online sales rocketed to more than 15 billion dollars in a single day.

The Chinese middle class will start consuming more, that's good news for Australia's milk, beef, wine and other agriculture products.

I welcome a strong and growing Chinese middle class, which will buy more from Australia.

“Government halts 60 TONNE shipment of babyformula from Melbourne factory to China - but won't explain why they did it"

The Australian government stopped the shipment because of the shortage in Melbourne. Our government is taking care of its citizens.... I am sorry.

-----------
Sixty tonnes of baby formula and milk product were seized in Melbourne
The Department of Agriculture (Australia) stopped the China bound shipment
There is currently a baby formula shortage in Australia, supermarkets are limiting 4 tins per customer.

this statistics must be that of families, given the average salary of white collared workers in Shanghai is about 8000 RMB, 250k a day seems a bit far fetched.
