Naxals attack police convoy in Jharkhand; seven cops killed

Ranchi: Naxals carried out a daring attack in Jharkhand’s Pakur district on Tuesday when they attacked a police motorcade killing seven cops.

Reports said the Naxals attacked the motorcade of Pakur Superintendent of Police Amarjeet Balihan when he was returning from a meeting.
Balihan as well as six other police personnel were killed in the attack.

Maoists opened fire on the police convoy when it was passing through the Kathikund area.

The gunfire was on when the reports last came in.

Additional forces have been rushed to the spot, officials said.

No these people are not minorties but rather they believe in communism and also called as maoists. These people believe that through armed revolution they can turn India to a communist state. There are about 50000 maoists in India which includes 5000-6000 armed gureillas. So far Indian govt somehow tolerate them as everybody think that they are afterall our own people but the day Govt decide to finish them off with full force,they will be the history.

They used to be ideological motivated.
Now there are 100s of group and ideology is almost lost.
Many criminals operate by disguising themselves as Naxals. They had some support in past,But now most of there are nuisance.They have strong hold in tribal and forest area,where development is slow. Indian government has not shown any strong determination to eliminate naxals as they consider it domestic problem.

Yeah there are Political Parties who support them here though they don't support maoist's armed revolution especially the communist party of India(marxist) and some other small parties. Fact is govt never use Army to deal with these maoists. Usually Police and para-military forces are used to fight with them. But in recent years these maoists have become more violent and they even started attacking civilians so our govt must have to think about it seriously.

They are Maoists , violent communists. They call themselves Naxals because their violent commie insurgency began in India from a small village called Naxalbari.

P.S- What is happening with these insurgents in Kashmir and these Maoists ? All of a sudden they have started attacking us with more frequency.
