F-22A (F-22 can actually carry 14 missiles, but this configuration has its drawbacks since the fuel tanks and the missiles have to be ejected together! The practical config is only 10 missiles)

J-10A (J-10, like the F-16 and JF-17, cannot carry BVR missiles in its inner most wing pylons. It got over this problem of just 2 BVR missile stations by adding dual racks. It now carries 4 BVR missiles. There was a mock-up of J-10 carrying PL-11 and PL-12 back in 2003, but that configuration never materialized into reality.)

JF-17 (JF-17, like the F-16 and J-10, cannot carry BVR missiles in its inner most wing pylons. There was a pic in 2008 which showed it carrying one in its innermost wing pylon, but that configuration never materialised. http://i47.tinypic.com/2e240er.jpg Dubai Airshow 2011 and PAC's website updated in 2011 confirms it can only carry 2 at the moment. Apart from some Computer Graphics(CGs), JF-17 with Dual racks has never been spotted.)

and who can run fastest with his azz off when this BVR thing is after him

How many BVR's can LCA carry??
Funny I was also looking for the same thing in his table but then-
I think nobody will be able to answer that yet as its FOC is not yet achieved and also the weapons system integration is not complete. This question will have to wait till 2015.

It is only a matter of time till JFT will carry bvr missiles in racks like the J-10 does, thus taking its missile count to 4. This 2 bvr missile thing wont last very long. You dumb Indians savor it while it lasts.

well come crying 4 when it will be integrated.....right now it carries just 2 and that is what we are talking about.

It might already be inducted. only there is no photo proof.
Tell the same to the other guy who is dreaming about LCA mk2, when mk1 is still floundering.

The technologies which are incorporated in LCA mark 2 will make it a deadly fighter
yea, deadly for the bharthi air force.

Why would the chinese induct thunder when they already have j-10? another fighter of similar capability is not necessary.

similar capability????are you sure??...Then I wonder why would an airforce will go for a further order of 36 aircrafts of a kind while they already are inducting 150 of 'similar capability' aircrafts of different kind........doesn't make sense.

ZERO

It hasn't test fired even a single BVR missile. It is called Lease Capable Aircraft for a reason!

Just 46 posts, Look like you are in no mood to stay here longer. The bold part of ur comment shows either you are deliberately trolling or u are illiterate in Defence technology....

I will request u to visit official JF17 thread, you will find FC1 was inducted without having night operational capabilities (Which I don't mind). Its PAF decision (to induct incomplete product) to include different capabilities after induction.

Its IAF decision to induct complete projects (Which I don't like) I like Pakistani induction methodology...

You truely deserve a ban. Please refer to PDF guidelines before spewing venom..

There is a strong possibility that IAF may discard and reject LCA Tejas altogether.:D

In my opinion Lca mk-2 will take much less time in its IOC and FOC because:-

1:-Its an upgrade from mk-1 so many subsytems of both the aircrafts will be same so no need to test them again.

2:-By that time the process would have already been established leading to fast testing of new subsystems.

So Riaz no need to worry about Our Lca, you just sit tight and enjoy the show.

R-73 is not a BVR missile.

ZERO

It is intended to be India's least capable fighter. We will have rafales and MKIs and PAKFA in other roles. But here is the interesting bit - the least capable fighter in the IAF will still be more capable than 75 percent of PAF. Go figure what that means.

And we will have several other fighters the likes of which PAF will not have in their dreams. So all in all, a happy situation for India, wouldn't you say?
