TRIBUNKALTIM.CO - Minister of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) Basuki Hadimuljono said the government continues to build infrastructure in DKI Jakarta even though the National Capital moved to East Kalimantan (Kaltim).

It is known that currently the Government is speeding up infrastructure development in the Capital City of the Archipelago or IKN Nusantara.

Reporting from Kompas.com, Basuki said, Jakarta will not be left alone even though it no longer has the status of the national capital.

According to him, Jakarta will still be considered in terms of clean water, transportation, such as there will be another MRT development that facilitates the mobility of the people of Jakarta.

"It proves that Jakarta is still a concern from the government to be built," said Basuki, on Monday (20/2/2023).

He added that one of the proofs is the construction of three Drinking Water Supply Systems (SPAM) as an effort by the government to prevent land subsidence in Jakarta through stopping groundwater use by 2030.

The three projects in question are Jatiluhur I SPAM, Djuanda SPAM, and Karian Serpong SPAM.

Jatiluhur I SPAM and Djuanda SPAM are planned to serve the fulfillment of clean water 3,200 liters / second and Karian Serpong SPAM which is planned to serve the fulfillment of clean water 3,500 liters / second.

"If we can solve all of this and can supply the people of Jakarta, then we will be able to convey to the people in 2030 to stop using groundwater," said Basuki.

Previously, Member of Commission VI of the House of Representatives of the Republic of Indonesia Subardi revealed that the Nusantara National Capital City (IKN) development project is a new era of Indonesian development.

The move towards IKN continues to be accelerated, after the country's strategic projects have a legal umbrella through Law Number 3 of 2022 concerning IKN Nusantara.

Through the law, the President has established the IKN Authority as a ministry-level institution that prepares, builds and relocates the national capital.

The government plans to hold the upcoming Indonesian Independence Day ceremony in 2024 at IKN Nusantara.

The celebration of the Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia at IKN is the beginning of the move of the capital from Jakarta to East Kalimantan.

The transfer of IKN from Jakarta to Penajam Paser Utara, East Kalimantan aims to balance development.

The presence of IKN will cut the development gap between regions in Indonesia.

The concept of Future Smart Forest City or green smart city will make IKN a new symbol of Indonesia as a country rich in natural resources, environmentally friendly, green energy use, and modern urban planning.

With the move of the capital, Indonesia will follow in the footsteps of modern countries, such as the United States, Russia, Australia, Turkey, and other countries.

The country managed to move the capital which until now had a separate capital, a central business city and a central government city.

The division of government centers and business centers has brought the country further forward. (*)

One of leading presidential candidates on Thursday pledged to continue President Joko "Jokowi" Widodo's flagship $32 billion new capital city if he wins a 2024 election, giving a boost for an ambitious project hit by delays and investor uncertainty.

Anies Baswedan, a former Jakarta governor who is backed by three political parties, said a law had been passed by the House of Representatives to build Nusantara, as the new capital is known, so whoever wins the presidency must see it through.

"The presence of PT KLN is expected to be able to organize the IKN development project by providing guarantees for the supply and quality of construction material products," said Executive Vice President (EVP) Corporate Secretary of Hutama Karya Tjahjo Purnomo in a statement in Jakarta, Thursday, March 16, 2023.

Tjahjo said that this joint venture was formed to support the construction of the National Capital City (IKN) in providing basic construction materials, as well as focusing on the precast concrete business and construction material trade.

Hutama and five other Karya State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) collaborated to establish a joint venture company, namely PT Karya Logistik Nusantara (PT KLN) on February 10, 2023.

Tjahjo said that the IKN transfer plan made a massive development in the IKN Area where there was a very large need for construction materials, especially the need for concrete.

Seeing this opportunity, six state-owned companies in Karya initiated by forming a special company, to ensure that basic construction needs were met during the IKN construction process.

Together with BUMN Karya that focuses on the construction sector, including PT Adhi Karya (Persero) Tbk., PT Wijaya Karya (Persero) Tbk., PT Pembangunan Perumahan (Persero) Tbk., PT Brantas Abipraya (Persero) and PT Nindya Karya (Persero), the joint venture company PT KLN has received approval from the Minister of Law and Human Rights of the Republic of Indonesia Number AHU-0011167.AH.01.01 of 2023.

The authorized capital of the joint venture was recorded at Rp 340 billion and the issued and paid-up capital of Rp 85 billion.

"With an operating office based in Balikpapan, PT KLN has now started operating and as soon as possible supplies concrete needs for projects in IKN. Through PT KLN, it can also support the company's business activities," said Tjahjo.

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) said Indonesia is a big country like the United States (US) and Australia.

According to him, if the two countries have two capital cities that each function as the center of government and business, then Indonesia can also have the same thing.

"Indonesia is a big country, a big country. So, if the US has New York and Washington DC, Australia has Melbourne and Sydney, why doesn't Indonesia have Jakarta and have the archipelago?" said Jokowi when giving a speech at the opening of the XVIII Congress of PP Muhammadiyah in Balikpapan, East Kalimantan, reported from the Presidential Secretariat's YouTube, Wednesday (22/2/2023).

However, Jokowi emphasized that the reason for moving the capital from Jakarta to the national capital (IKN) Nusantara does not just want to imitate what other countries do.
However, the former Governor of DKI Jakarta said, the main reason is equity.

"Sir, you can imagine that our country has 17,000 islands. But, one island called Java Island has a economic GDP of 58 percent. It's in Java. Then the 16,999 islands are given what percentage share?" said Jokowi.

"And 56 percent of Indonesia's population is in Java, how very dense Java Island is. So it requires the name of equitable development. Not Java-centric but Indonesia-centric," he said.

Jokowi then explained that the transfer of the capital of the Republic of Indonesia from Jakarta to IKN was not his idea.

However, this has been the thought of the first President of the Republic of Indonesia Soekarno (Karno) since the 1960s.

"What I need to remind you, that we are moving to IKN Nusantara This is not my idea either. Endak," Jokowi said.

"This has been since Karno. In 1960, Karno was going to move the capital (from) Jakarta to Kalimantan, namely in Palangkaraya," he continued.

Based on this idea, Jokowi said, the government continues to conduct studies on which point is the best location to move the national capital.

Until finally determined Nusantara City located in North Penajam Paser, East Kalimantan, which will become the new capital of Indonesia.

In addition, Jokowi said, moving the capital from Jakarta to IKN is not just moving the buildings of ministries and government agencies Instead, the government wants to build a new work culture system.

"It's not his physique that wants to be moved. We want to move a new work culture, we want to move a new mindset in this capital city because the system has been built since the beginning, we have prepared human resources from the beginning," Jokowi said.

"So, we hope that this new capital city is really a capital that other countries do not have," he said. However, Jokowi admitted that moving to IKN was not an easy job. He also confirmed that it would take 15-20 years for the transfer to IKN to be complete.

"Indeed, this is not just a year-two year job. God willing, it will be completed in 15-20 years. But, we must dare to start. Jakarta itself is already very congested. Very jammed," Jokowi said.

"However, we will continue to improve Jakarta and become a business city, tourism city, economic city, and Nusantara to become a government city," the Head of State continued.

Fadjar said the Air Force continues to establish communication with the Ministry of Defense which provides input on air defense, such as what is right for IKN. The discussion continues to be discussed because it concerns the technology budget for the next 20 to 30 years.

Fadjar said that the Air Force is still continuing to improve defense equipment technology involving domestic products. "There are several defense equipment and this is also of course our input to involve domestic products because we must be more independent," he said.

In addition, the TNI AU will build new air and replace Squadron 17 and Squadron 45 which are tasked with supporting the activities of the president and vice president. It also formed an IKN air sector guide.

The organization that has now been formed will be shifted in package with the main tool of the new TNI AU weapon system.

"Later we will relocate there with new defense equipment, of course, which can ensure the security of special airspace in the IKN area," he said.

Jakarta. Waskita Karya (WSKT), a state-owned construction firm, has been granted a Rp 1.3 trillion ($85.9 million) infrastructure project in the future state capital, Nusantara.

The project involves the construction of six arterial roads within the central area of the government complex in Nusantara.

According to Operation Director Dhetik Ariyanto, Waskita has been given 390 days to complete the project before the new capital's inauguration in August next year.

"We will employ a modernized system of building information modeling to accelerate our work and meet the project deadline," Dhetik said.

It should be noted that the road construction project is not starting from scratch, as certain roads have already been built to facilitate logistics transportation.

With only 13 months remaining until the launch, carrying out the road construction will pose a challenge alongside other ongoing projects in Nusantara.

"Continuous coordination is crucial to ensure that our work proceeds smoothly and doesn't hinder others. Waskita has previously undertaken various projects in the central government area of Nusantara," noted Waskita Corporate Secretary Ermy Puspa Yunita.

Waskita has been entrusted with several key projects in Nusantara, including toll roads, bridges, government buildings, and wastewater treatment facilities.

"We express our gratitude to the government for entrusting Waskita with the construction of these arterial roads. The project will be financed through monthly payments to maintain the company's healthy cash flow," added Ermy.
