BEIJING (China): Pakistan and China have embarked on a joint venture for the construction of two missile carrier boats in the Chinese port city of Tianjin.

Under the joint venture signed between Pakistan Navy and China Shipbuilding and Offshore International Company, two boats capable of carrying missiles would be manufuctured simultaneously in Pakistan and China.

Vice Admiral Tanveer Faiz Ahmed was the chief guest at the keel laying ceremony in China. The second boat would be built at Karachi Shipyard and Engineering Works.

The boat would be equipped with the latest weapons.Their sensors would be an important addition to the fleet of Pakistan Navy.

022-type stealth missile speed boats.
Advantages: stealth is very good, speed 50 knots, firepower is very powerful(8 Y-J83 anti-ship missile).
Shortcomings: small range(2200 km), weak air defense capability.

It is the main force PLAN's coastal waters defense, over a hundred 022-type is active duty.
Its design goal is CV.

The RCS of this boat is something like 10 m2.

while this would be huge for an air plane, note that in the ocean, many waves and ripples have RCS > 15 m2. 10 m2 is likely to be rejected as noise or a random wave, making the type 022 essentially invisible against most ship radars.

I think this boat construction is a good step if we gather the knowledge to assemble these boats may be we can have 20 such boats in near future , once we aquire the knowledge to build them very useful items for Navy fast and efficient

The radar's processor should still reject it as noise, since they obviously can't shoot every 10 m2 "wave".
