Pakistan is pearl in the eyes of Chinese: Scholar

I have seen that video of Chinese girl singing Pakistani national anthem so many times.

Is it true that she is being considered for Nishan-E-Pakistan award?

just kiddinnnnnnn :D

On a more serious note, Sino-Pakistan relationship is currently more intense on government level.

My 2 cents:

1) Greatly enhance people to people relationship with public and private sponsorship, in cultural, academic, tourism, business, etc. areas. I met a Pakistani a couple of years ago, and he wanted to run a small business in China, but I couldn’t help. What if some organization/program could help him!

2) To further enhance military relationship. China Pakistan should consider forming a military alliance, the one similar to what N. Korea enjoys with China: militarily attacking one is attacking the other. Thus, Pakistan may be relieved from external threats a little bit and can divert some its limited resources to its education and economic development.

Well said. Number 2 option is something many have been proposing for years. Only if Pakistan feels comfortable and can rely on China, I see no problem here.

Win win situation for both.

Japan and US have such treaty though in Japan's interests only. China and North Korea have such treaty and thats why North Korea does not fear the jingoist puppet of the South. If China and Pakistan have such treaty, it will be a true alliance.

I agree with your 2 suggestions especially #2 when U.S.A. and NATO have their eye on Pakistan.

the consistent failing of pakistani governments is quite ridiculous - pak have a willing partner in china and we should be pushing it as much as we can

we should be teaching chinese in our school to improve the people to people relations

The person on the right (the one waving fist in the air) taught me development economics back in 2009 ( he was a good teacher). His name is Shahram Azhar. He is also a vocalist of "Lal" (Red) band. He is a strong supporter of socialism BTW.

on point 2, if North Korea were to orchestrate a direct attack on the US, i don't think the military pact with China will help, or will it.

Will china stand by a military pact ally in its hour of folly?

We can see how the world is getting divided into separate blocks. Particularly the birth of SCO, though in a primary state now, as a regional block is very important. Even we see the not so highlighted intimacy between Iran and North Korea. Everyone is now seeking defense alliance with others. No one wants to be isolated. Pakistan, I think, should take a side.

North Korea is part of the Asian civilization, so it can't be as illogically ruthless as is barbaric US which nuked Japan, attempted to nuke China using in 30 different sites, also attempted to nuke Russia (Soviet) and continues threatening others with nukes. :coffee:
