Sure, but the native Indians or Aboriginals in Australia were cultures not nation states. Nation states are a political idea starting in 1700s. No indigenous groups in Americas and Australia were homogenous. They had variable sub cultures. Culturally Pakistanis predate Indians as we are the people of the Indus valley. Nation states are a different classification altogether.

You can beat the bush as much as you want. Did you not understand that nation states started to emerge globally in 1700s? - Historically India (A british term) has never been a political single entity for more than a 100 years. It was always like Europe is today with a number of autonomous and sovereign political entities.

It was under Aruangzeb that Hind reached a large landmass, as well as under Ashoka in ancient times, historic accuracy of which is hard to verify from neutral/alternative historians.

In my opinion, culture and all it's paraphernalia can sustain or more accurately are independent of a nation state's existence. To the ancient travelers, anything south of river Indus was "India" whose eastern or Southern extents were yet out of reach to any outsiders. When they reached in this country, they found it divided in to hundreds of kingdoms intertwined with a common cultural thread dominated by Hindu and Buddhist flavors.
Unified nation was a much modern concept and every country of today had to go through a certain phase where it consolidates itself by defining its outer periphery. For example, Great Britain was divided into thirty warring tribes and became united only after the Romans subdued them under the banner of the Golden Eagle. China struggled to define it's boundaries till twentieth Century though the whole world knew about the magnificent Chinese civilization for centuries. North India too, though for a few limited exceptions like the Guptas and Mayuras remained unified for a certain period of time missed a distinct boundary till the Company defined it for their own dividends. This is nothing to be ashamed of or get bogged down by inferiority complex as these are evolution which took place before every civilization transformd into a certain nation state.

Did concept of political entity ever matters when people were bound together by a common culture and a identity, the idea of Bharat/Hindustan/India has existed since eternity.

You forget mentioning Greece, one of the most ancient nations in the world and most ancient nation of Europe was united from 1821-1920 after it reclaimed their historical Greek land and Greek population.

Not only Greece, my friend. Whole Europe was divided into thousands of Barbaric tribe few centuries ago. How many of us even heard of the names Rhætia, Noricum, Panonia, Mæsia or Cappadocia? Even Australians or the Newzeelanders are among the newest modern nation states.

Not really,Because the tectonic plate by western sources has been expanded upto indus river in pakistan,Which is not true.The india land mass was hell even limited to central india.which means states adjacent to Pakistan like punjab,Kashmir,rajhistan,gujarat are also not part of So called present indian tectonic plate
