Associated Press Of Pakistan ( Pakistan's Premier NEWS Agency ) - Pakistan wants joint defence, energy projects with Tajikistan: PM

A direct road linking Tajikistan and Pakistan via Wakhan would transform their country. I believe a feasibility study was done earlier this year and some Prince pledged to fund the highway. This is a step in the right direction.

road network, due to geography is very much feasible given the proximity

i believe there were/are plans to train their defence forces and also electricity importation as well
