Pakistan's foreign exchange reserves exceed $15 billion

KARACHI (April 16 2010): The country's liquid foreign exchange reserves have crossed $15 billion mark with an increase of some $90 million during the last week. The central bank on Thursday issued the latest figures of liquid forex reserves, which depict an increase of $90.2 million in overall reserves from $14.9580 billion to $15.0482 billion during last week ended April 10, 2010.

During last week, forex reserves held by the central bank rose by $92.2 million to $11.1548 billion from $11.0626 billion. Reserves held by banks show a decline of $2.0 million during the last week, as they declined to $3.8934 billion against $3.8954 billion a week earlier.

$15 billion is less if we judge by the size and potential of pakistan...
I am sure this figure will increase manifold after the war on terror:cheers:
 
good news but we really need to do better and stop setting our standards so low lets reach for the stars 15 billion is pathetic for a country of pakistan's size who has nearly 200 million people esp when you compare it to tiny nations like lebanon who got less aid and devastated from war far more than us .
 
The recession is over in asia. Things will improve rapidly.

Great for Pak and India. Now time to aim for $20 billion.
