The National Assembly members stand and remained silent for two minutes to say tribute to assassinated Federal Minister for Minority Affairs Mr. Shabaz Bhatti. PM Gillani , in his brief speech , announced that new counter extremism policy will be formulated with the consultation of Parliament and Military.
Federal Cabinent also remains silent for two minutes during its four hour meeting session. PM Gillani promised that Federal Ministers and some members of parliament (like Sherri Rahman and Fauzia Wahab) will be entitled with bullet proof cars and FC squads.
PM also visited Al-Shifa Hospital soon after hearing about the news of assassination of Mr. Bhatti.
