Good question

Answer is whoever party has overwhelming majority

That's the spirit of Parliamentart politic

You can kick the party that has 150 seats and form amalgam of 20 parties to get to 170 while horse trading on the way

If a parliament is hang(e.g PTI can't form govt with 150 seats) the solution is snap elections

If you don't like this system then switch to presidential system

That's the point i am making. Pti lost the majority in the parliament when Bap and MqmP left the alliance. What could be done in the parliamentary system for Pti to stay in power? Pdm had the majority so they overtook.

This all shows Pakistan is behind other nations, we have MNAs, MPAs and voters who follow personalities but don't follow an ideology, otherwise Pti allies would never join Pdm because the policy doesn't match up, also MNAs, MPAs would never change party because their mind, ideas don't match with rival parties.

IK as Pti leader needs to go back to the drawing board, find and give tickets to those people who will sacrifice for Pti and its mission, then sell it to the awaam and let them vote patriotic people in to the parliament, then watch what will Pdm or anyone else do. Absolutely nothing.

Did they actually take a vote of confidence or just a meaningless resolution that is passed by a voice vote as some have started to allude to?

Can some esteemed members clarify. Also who voted for it. to make up 180 votes, they'd need either PTI votes or someone else that didn't vote for the initial PM vote. Did JI also vote for him?

Irrelevant

  • 90 Days Elections are mandatory

Government was asked to go prepare for elections not take vote of confidence
which has no impact on Election , today or tomorrow

I did say he should win comfortably considering how stacked the Parliament is.

If the current parliament actually reflected the wishes of the people today, SS would be out of a job right now.

This is all drama. When the vote to pass the budget bill failed, we all knew it was nothing more than theater.

They'll propose it again soon enough, and it'll pass next time because as much as they're speaking against the Supreme Court, they don't want to be disqualified from holding office.

Why these " elected" running away from election. They all already violated the constitution of Pakistan.

Why they should hold elections when they are enjoying government through their proxies?? After election Imran can come back in government atleast in one province, why he dissolve KP assembly at the first place?? He cannot obtain more seats from that province which he had at that time.
